How's the flavor?

Flavor is good on it, slightly better then the Subtank Mini, which happens to have the same juice in it. I'm guessing direct compare would be favorable with some of the better atomizers I've purchased lately. Only real issue I have found on it is the Airflow adjustment screw is kind of silly, not sure if its just an error on the one I have, or if they all will be like this one. What it does is plug one hole. it seems long enough to reach the opposite side airhole, but it does a dead stop on one side. Its about .5 inch long grub screw which I would have thought should screw in far enough to block the opposite side to close it down. The way it works now is as said, just closes off one side of the dual holes, removing it does open up the flow a bit so maybe that is the only function, but if that were the case why make it as long as they did?

I just received my Tobeco KS, so some first impressions from me as well:

Quality is really good, much better than I expected, also much smaller than it seemed in pictures.

I think the flavor is great, and I really like the airflow. My screw does block the airflow off to close, but not quite, non-existent. I don't know if that means there may be some inconsistency with them. Rather than restrictive lung hits, I like pretty open mouth to lung, and I can mouth to lung hit this with the screw completely removed (but I prefer it in just a little.) Cloud chasers are probably not going to like this one at all.

I agree it is a bit hard to get it on your mod, especially if it has a spring loaded pin. Worse than getting it on though, mine doesn't want to stay in place once on there, it spins around when I try to move the juice control. That's the biggest complaint I have so far. I also think the juice control should protrude past the tank even when fully closed, and maybe have some texture to grab. That hasn't led to any problems for me yet, but I could see the juice control getting stuck with a full tank filled. I also would prefer the more squarish 8 ml tank, both for looks and capacity, but this only comes with the angled 7 ml.

Overall, I think I really like this one. If no other serious issues develop I will probably get several more of these.

The grub screws hold it quite well, however one thing you may want to check is if the 510 ring is seated fully into the atomizer, when I was playing around with it I noticed one side was not grabbing the ring. If you screw the 510 in to far then try to lock it up its possible it is slightly pulled out of the atomizer base not allowing it to lock properly. Also check without the 510 ring in place to make sure your grub screws pass through the hole properly, mine had some burrs around it. And finally the 510 centerpin is adjustable so you could turn it out a little to help with lock up/alignment. Haven't debugged my airflow yet, but I'm assuming they didn't drill it quite to the bottom.

How is the plastic/acrylic tank attach to the bottom metal sleeve? The part that's none removable. Is is glued? Press fit?

I did look at that on mine, I see no glue, or o-rings, I tried (not very hard) to push the tank out, didn't get it to move, my bet is it is pressed in.

If your in the US, and looking for one of these Kanvape has the black ($1.00 more), or SS in stock for $19.95, and if you use the code "25OFFTOBECO" it drops the price to $15.00, and if your order total makes it to $20 you get free shipping to boot. For that price I couldn't resist, ordered another Stainless, and a black one.

I've made multiple purchases from Kanvape and so far have been very happy with them, I've not had to deal with customer service so no idea how good/bad that is.

Linky to Kanvape if your interested: KS RTA TOBECO CLONE REBUILDABLE TANK ATOMIZER | kanVape

Coupon code is good through the 19th

Also, just playing with mine on a spring loaded 510 I just locked the ring screwed it in, its not completely tight on the mod, but close, it is staying in place fine. Maybe adjusting the 510 pin might be a less fiddly way to get it in place. it worked quite nicely putting it on my Istick 50.

Well USPS actually delivered before the delivery estimate, ordered from Kanvape on Wed, got the black one, and another SS this morning in the mail. Airflow controller on both of them work as they should, not all scratched up like my first one.

Couldn't stand it anymore. This one has had my interest piqued since I first saw a photo. I too ordered an SS version Tobeco clone from Kanvape. $19.95 seemed like a fantastic deal.

I do believe this one will perch on an iStick 50 which it seems to have been made for. ;)

I feel like vaping is getting very expensive. :w00t:

I could see paying for really high quality materials, but $140 for new stuff because it "looks" good........I will never be one who puts much stock in appearance over substance.

Heck, I can get a great pair of Merrell hiking boots or North Face pants for $145 that I'll have for many years.....

Right !,

Take a look at the Kayfun V4. Where i'm from an authentic costs £120, ($187), from Cloud 9 and i bought one. Have a Russian 91% too, though it cost half the price, but still not cheap by any means. I've even got a Provari, and none of this hardware does anything special, don't perform any better than a cheap plastic clearomizer, but they are build to last and are excellently engineered.
My Kayfun looks awesome on my Provari with it's stainless steel tank.
Ordinarily though i choose to use a high powered box mod. I have three, Sigelei 100 watt plus, which i use daily, and an IPV3 and an IPV4 for backups. The RTA'S i use all cost round about the same at £30. Got a Zephyrus, Billow V2 and a Goliath. All great RTA's and £30 is about right and the build quality of these tanks is great.
