What threads if your talking tank you should not unless it is the 510 or ego threads. For battery mod threads you can use Dialectric grease, dialectic grease with either carbon, copper or graphite particles in the grease to improve the connection. The that in automotive stores. Dialectric grease you may find in a hardware store. There is one other it is a liquid that dries an leaves behind a dry but black surface. Here is what I use. Amazon.com: Bike Aid Dri-Slide 4oz. Lube with Needle Nozzle: Sports & Outdoors

What usually causes this is a bad die that left behind jagged edges on the threads or they are not quite to spec. One of the above will fix it.

i use bullet case resizing lube, since I already have it.

The reason I mentioned the ones I did was because they are both good electrical conductors. Not much of a difference but it will make some. Use to be an Electronics tech. We used the moly coat to make rubber belts conducive to stop static build up. There is one other that is a grease but it has very small particles of copper in it and it's galled Permatex Copper.

Sorry to correct you, but a dielectric grease is an insulating grease (the very definition of dielectric), not a conductive grease.

What Is Dielectric Grease? (with pictures)

I have contacted the moderators for you and hopefully they will be able to figure this out. I've never heard of a thread here squeaking but I guess there is a first for everything. Is it a long, mmmmmmmmurp? or is it more like a squeal? We will get to the bottom of this for you buddy. no worries.

Edit- Okay I reread. Noalax, or I just use Vaseline (petroleum jelly) after a good cleaning of the threads.
