squid----- took me a few minutes to find it, this is actually a tank called the splitfire and can totally be rebuilt it has replaceable heads sort of like a nova if it is this tank you are talking about :Squid ((SplitFire(VCORE 2.0)) Clearomizer Tank & Replacement 4 Wick Coil Heads.
there are several variations on the splitfire type tanks and as with everything some like it some dont. i dont like the extra unused room or adden size. but they do work well.

In the end I feel it can never hurt to have something like a true vision vivi nova in your arsenal just for ease of use and relaibility, but I do recommend always looking and trying other things, there are better products and there are worse.
like for me dunno whit it is but I love my vivi mini but do not seem to get the same draw off the 3.5 tried 2 of em now and dont like it.

I looked at the squid type. IMO they are a little too complicated. You have 4 surfaces on them that have threads cut into plastic. The vivi has 2. One of the Vivi weaknesses is that over time the threaded part cracks. I think that treaded seals better but the plastic used is not up to the task over a long period. That is why I went to metal tubes. I have not see that option on the splitfire/squib.

I have never tried the squid, but I love the Vivi Nova. I agree with thrasher that the mini is by far the best. I found that the mini works well with the short wick also. I have never had a leak but I do have several metal tubes on hand as well as several replacement bases for the mini as well as the 3.5ml novas. I rebuild my Nova coils with 32 AWG wire and 3mm wick from Health Cabin. It is super easy. Health Cabin also has the rebuildable Nova available, but to me it is easier to rewire the regular Nova.

I got 3 of the splitfires and traded two of them for a couple of vivi nova mini's. The center post can be way to far down so that it doesn't set on the device like it should. Some like em. I didn't. IMHO. Trying to make something fancy out of something that works. Yea they can be rebuilt but so can the nova. Just ask Steve. (sorry steve but I know you've rebuilt yours before. I think). If you wonder which one is better then do a "youtube" search for both and see which one you find.
