You can make doors in resin panels. The edges need to be clean but they sit nicely in the hand. these are from last year (in ink but no reason you can't do in paint)

I must have spent at least an hour yesterday watching Youtube vids on resin pours. I had NO idea you could put stuff in the resin!I've done some Reo doors in alcohol inks. The one in my avi is one of them. It's just spray varnished. Had I known then what I know now, I would have put resin on it. It shows wear around the squonk hole now.
