Getting a new one can be a challenge, but there are loads of second hand available.
I tend to look second hand first. Great way to save a few bucks. I have had my eyes peeled for a bit, hopefully I spot one soon.

Of course when I do spot one, I would bet that I will be broke, that's always how it works, haha.

I had a quick question though. Are the contacts complicated in it? I like to make my own after a lot of cleaning and it looks like that one could be a little different than I have done before.

Compared to other squonker contacts, these are particularly intricate yes. Not beyond the realm of possibility, but not easy. I upgraded to silver ones, so will get a pic up of my originals when I get 5.

I'll check it out the next time I clean it. the lock slides into lock position but just turns to open if you shake it.
Sounds like a slightly out of spec lock. Mine has some resistance to it, not a lot but enough to stay put. Sadly, that is the nature of 3d printed parts, they don't always come out the same every time.

If you need a new one, and don't have a 3d printer, I think shapeways has them for really cheap. Or you may be able to pop the lock off and put a drop of superglue in there (inside of the lock surface) to tighten up its fittment.

There’s another lock in my box I’ll try. It was working fine the first day or two. But it’s just too slippery now. I like the mod a lot. But the lock is definitely janky compared to a full mechanical lock like this mod I just got or the furyan.

Brilliant!

While I wait for a new RDA to get shipped for this mod, I have been playing around with some different set ups. Settled on this for now. Entheon deck and beauty ring, wasp nano top cap, GR1 drip tip. Working great for a temporary solution.
