Squonk to toot ratio

Hey guys,

How many toots do you average in between squonking with your RM2? My coil is 1 ohm and my liquid is 60vg 40 pg.

I more or less have to squonk after every toot. The first toot is great, the 2nd is OK but....it tastes a bit dry and cottony.

Pics attached...pic 1 is 1 squonk before toot, pic 2 is my first toot and pic 3 is my 2nd toot.

Does anyone else have the same experience? Should I use more cotton?

I think the amount of cotton is fine.

When using the lower ohm coil you will find that you use more juice.

Also your draw will make a difference in the amount of juice used.

I think you are just in that area of ohms that may require more frequent squonks between vapes.

I get 3 sometimes 4, if im brave, before re-squonking, I use more cotton, on the right side, I slide it behind and under the coil like a nano dragon

I too get one good draw, maybe two before I have to squonk. All of my coils are ~.65 ohms though, so that is to be expected.

you must take long hits. I run .8ohm coils and get 2 to 3 hits between.

.8-1.2 ohm micro+cotton here. I find with the rolled cotton I get the same results as you. I have found that using cotton yarn allows me a couple extra puffs between squonks, and seems to be more resilient to dry hits.

I also leave a longer wick tail on the right side of the coil

Not sure if this will help you it not.

I run 1.0 - 1.33 ohm, 28 and 30 gauge kanthal and 3mm silica. I typically get 2 or 3 tootitily toots. The 4th is if I'm feeling brave and courageous.

I get 10-12, about 4 second drags. 1.1 ohm with long cotton tails running around the post and laying on the deck, juicy.

seems normal......especially with the micro coils........i sometimes do a 3 wrap on 3 strands of ekowool which is a bigger diameter of wick and I can get 8 toots per squonk........but not as much vapor with a 3 wrap.......but good when at work and those times i forget to squonk......lol

about 4, 10 second rips out of a 0.6-0.9Ω coil on silica as fat as a baby's arm! But a squonk costs me 1/16 of a bottle!

I get two maybe 3 good toots from a .8Ω micro on an RM2 (probably because it drains so/too well. 4 toots on a cyclone. 3 on a bottom feed IGO-S. 4-5 on an ERA (cheapie) clone. I consider it a small price to pay for a great vape. I use bsidb's "dragon" cotton method.
