First of a tip of the hat to "Evapera" - ordered my eGo on Thursday, and Monday Morning it is here as advertized - great service fast delivery - great price.

Held off until battery was fully charged, loaded the tank, and took a toot. AHHHH ... then a little cough. But then AHHHH again. I know it is early, only been hittin this thing for about an hour...but so satisfying after struggling with my old PV for the last few weeks. Anyone sold on the ego, but perhaps a little uncertain. I couldn't be happier. Mind you I was looking just for a basic upgrade to the 510, something consistent, and something that will allow me to dabble with the cartos, tanks, and the like. certinaly not giving a review as I do not have the experience nor have a really put this thing to the test...YET. But to answer my main question...can it be THAT much better, enough better, to solve my woes and satisfy my needs as they are now...a resounding YES. cant wait for my new juice.

I have noticed that I smoke and now vape a little different than others. I pull almost all of the smoke/vape in my mouth, and then pull to my lungs. So this has never been an issue for me...my spouse and other friend I let try my new gear took a toot off this thing and immediately started hacking. So I tried to pull it directly into my lungs and certainly felt a TH that was quite more than sufficient..harsh and dry. I am using pure PG, so maybe when my new blends and VG base come in I will notice a difference here. Or for me - I will just vape the same way I always smoked and not mind it. They however are not interested as they say it is harsh? Anmy thoughts here?

Last thing - kind of a silly question btw. Since this rig can stand upright...is that how I should keep it, or should I lay it down (any difference wicking/leaking/etc?)

Thanks.

toot toot AHHHH

Every one I've given a puff to has coughed even when I tell them to hold the vapor in their mouths a bit, I fear I'm having a hard time converting anyone because of that....
I'm glad you're enjoying your new toy though :)
I keep mine upright because I drip and I find I get little leaks if I lay it on it's side, you shouldn't really have that problem if you're using cartomizers though.

The eGo is one of the best starter ecigs around in my opinion. I started vaping with one and loved it. I have since moved on to box mods but I still have an eGo passthru which I will always keep as a back up to my many other back ups.

I think because of its better battery life without being too big in size its a fairly easy transition. I can imagine it would seem very odd to a person just starting out to go from puffing a regular ciggie to being comfortable puffing on something the size of a small electric toothbrush just in the name of nicotine addiction.

Great to hear you're liking it so far :)

Taking a mouth inhale....then into the lungs is how you are suppose to do it - so you are a natural that way :)

I always liked standing it up because if its laying on the side I would guess the juice would pool away from the wick. I have a small box where I keep a supply of cartomizers, a couple of juice bottles and stuff on the table where I vape at and leaned it up against one of the sides to keep it in an upright position.

I've had that problem with people at first too, let them try a 808 or a 510 auto instead, the vape on these is much less harsh then on bigger batteries and it feels the most natural, once i started doing that ppl starting coughing and chocking on them a lot less.

Congrats, Dwayne! The eGo was my first PV, and from the first vape I was absolutely floored about how satisfying it was. It fed my craving for cigarettes and then some. Yeah, I coughed a bit at first, mostly because I wasn't really prepared for the kind of throat hit it delivered, but after a couple of puffs it was smooth sailing and I couldn't have been happier with the purchase.

It only gets better (and in many cases, more interesting) from here. :)

Jack (HappyVaper.com) really nailed it with the name didn't he - the amount of times I've heard that term on this forum. Random observation of the evening...

Yes the harshness is a gripe shared by many people who first try vaping - but in my experience those that are willing to try it over an extended period of time (i.e. one day) have reported that they quickly learn how to "toot" properly to avoid coughing up a lung..

Well it sounds like you are a Happy Vaper, so enjoy!!! :D

the TH never been a problem for me, just hoping to get the wifey hooked on vaping too. New juice is on the mail, I got a bunch a samples so that I can try different blends and even 100% VG. See if anything there she likes or I like more. All in all very happy with the EGO T. Didn't even think about a cig this morning (was at 2-3 since starting up again with the old device).

I can see where leaking might start. My tanks are silicon caped and silicon stretches so of course. I think i'll get a syringe so I do not have to constantly remove the cap. SHould prolong a tank a good bit. I also expect to try some cartos with the next order.

Certainly going through more juice.
