Isn't the 40T a 30A and the 30T a 35A cell?

Oops, my bad. The 40T is 25A 4,000 mAh off Mooch's chart. The 30T (which I don't have any of and hence my recollection was incorrect) is 35A 3,000 mAh. Now that Samsung has a 30A 2,000 mAh 18650, the 20S, I got them confused.

4,000 mAh gets me well through a day with say a Topside with a 10 ml squonk bottle as I only vape maybe 7-8 ml a day. Two VTC5A's may give me 25A each, and 2,500 mAh each, but it's not a 100% "efficiency conversion" for want of the proper term. Add them together and in practice you'll end up not a whole lot more over 4,000 mAh anyway. I know we can get into wH which is probably the best way to compare side by side, but to me the difference isn't all that much while the form factor is definitely a difference. If I want to go to 80W on say my Topside, the 40T is really sufficient, although I'd probably get a 30T just to feel better despite it being regulated. We all have our own safety zones.

All of my regulated squonks are single 21700 mods. I can also use an 18650 if I'm stuck without a charged 21700 around. And a 21700 mech squonk with a 30T gives you some decent build options unless you're into ultralow superconducting territory which is essentially a teeny step away from a short. I mean a 0.12 ohm coil will draw 35A which is 147W. I can't see anything beyond that territory as a place I personally want to visit.

Get some 20S batteries and use a hotter build for your penny mod
Iirc a lot of those single battery mechs will also take 2x700s which might maybe work for him as @HigherStateD pointed out.
@Mooch will have data on which 2x700s are high drain. I have none myself.
Some also have auto fuses in them which I personally think of as an absolute bare minimum safety system in this particular day and age. Opinions on that vary of course.

I have a Pulse BF and it made to accommodate a 20700 battery, but with a little DIY filing of the plastic you can get a 21700 in there. I actually did without the filing by mistake and still forced it in there. Couldn't figure out why it took so much effort until I remembered "20700 not 21700". Still fit, but the negative end of the wrapper wasn't totally happy about it. Doing it the "right"" way resolved the issue, although an 18650 is fine for my needs as for mechs I use those little 22 mm flavor bangers with builds never below 0.3 ohm. Anything with beefy dual coil type builds are for regulated mods

Another single 21700 regulated mod I picked up was a Desire Cut. It was on clearance and the price was great, but it's a very solid mod if you can still find one. Same company as the Rage, but without the giant size and weight.

Lol...
Penny for your thoughts?
sure he meant this:

Penny Style 18650 Copper Mechanical Mod
Ah. Old style single battery mech. Won’t catch me using one of those with modern batteries. Period. My face is ugly but it’s the only one I own. I like it where it is.
I reiterate the drone. You will like it. It’s a lot larger than your current mod, but It will work well for you.

My statement about batteries and random orafices still stands.

I've looked over several pics of the OG and clone, and can't see vent holes on either. The clone claims 2 holes, but size isn't stated. I wouldn't use either with a high drain battery. Pipe bomb seems an apt description.

I've gotten years out of my penny mod with no issues. I just double check all my readings, and remember safety first. Never had an issue. Not even a heated button. But as stated above, everyone has different levels of "safe-zone". Would like to add my penny has 2 vent holes on the top. And yes, it is old. That goes to show you how long I been out of the game and I'm bored lol. It's definitely been a looong time since I came back to this forum and bought something.

The only time I ever experienced a battery venting was on my Noisy Cricket v2. Something in the chip on the reversible battery plate shorted when I was using it in parallel mode. I wasn't even firing the mod! It grew insanely hot and I threw it as far as I could. I would never use a cricket v2 again. The v1 is a masterpiece and has been in my rotation since a month after it came out, and I own 3.

I would like to thank everyone for their help and suggestions also. I received a lot of help from everyone! =)

As far as my next purchase, I cannot choose between the drone and a vindicator. I really love the idea of the drone. I would love a RDA that I don't need to drop into, but it seems so large. That is the only con for me. Carrying it around at work might be a little annoying. I think I might buy both lol. I really want to try the new 21700 battery's as well. If they work well, it opens the door to a ton of new builds on a mech.

The only mod I've used in almost two years, same silicone bottle that came with it :)

That looks nice man. I gotta get me a squonk. They just seem so large. Is it heavy?
I have small hands for a girl ;)
It's kinda heavy in the beginning but you get use to it. It has been dropped more times than I can remember, never had a single issue with it. Nasy offers a warranty with it as well :)
