I have never used one, but my guess is using the blind squonking technique. In fact...it may have been developed for the 801 and 901 users. This is achieved by pressing gently on the bottle while drawing on the drip tip (not firing the atty). Then when you hear a gurgle or feel the pressure change, stop then take a normal drag (this time firing the atty). On the smaller atties that I use (510s & 306s), I just do a sharp quick drag while pressing the bottle and I'm done. Just a split seconds worth. Don't know how it would need to go with the 901s. You'll get more answers by the 901 Masters shortly, I'm sure.

That was what I thought, maybe someone else will be more specific. I can't really tell when I try to blind squonk.

dj,

Are you using a stealth adapter or the one from R&R Manufacturing with the brass feed tube in it, or are you using the regular big 510-901 adapter, maybe this is part of your issue with the feeding of the juice. I have found with all of my Reo's that using the Atty that fits the native connection - 510/306 works much better than a 901 though I enjoy the 901 I have it set up on another mod with a native 901 connection for perfection :)

Just another thought, maybe a 901 drip shield would help you possibly ! I use them on other PV's and they work fantastic.

That may be part of your problem, go check the one out over at R&R Manufacturing, it has a brass feed tube that goes through the center of it, also that drip shied that Empire sells is awesome for the 901 !

Alright, I'll check it out. Thanks!

EDIT: Dang, out of stock.

I have had great luck with the stealth adapter from avid vapor with the 901. I do short quick light rapid draws while pressing in on the bottle until I hear one little gurgle (or "catch") of juice, then release the bottle. Only had a few overflows in the last week.

I do want a drip shield from empire but they only have the flat ones in blue and none on black right now.

I hope that helped in some way.

Yes, get the adapter w/the brass feed tube. MWA put me on to them last yr. and they are great.

This is the method I use. I have also found that atty and juice type come in to play. For me thicker juice works way better- AVE in particular. Vapor Station also has very thick VG juice that's pretty good. I rarely flood the atty with a thicker juice. Atty type is pretty big. Cisco spec get a lot of love here but I don't like the 901 version on my Mini. I've had good luck with Iken Vape LR901's. Currently I'm using DSE 1.7 LR901's from Vapor Kings. Great deal on the 10ct bulk pack and they perform nicely.
Current setup is Mini w/ VK DSE LR901, stealth adapter from Avid, Empire drip shields, 14500 AW imr's.
