Right. The problem with 12 setups of squonking, is I would have to buy oh 49 squonk mods to get my 12 going and their inevitable demise.

I am really stocked guys. Really so very much so in tanks and mods.

If I run out, ever, which seems less and less likely as I handle my mods with care and loving devotion (these days) maybe I will get 49 squonker kits but not NOW.

If it's really that grad I most certainly don't want to buy ONE squonking kit. Oh I have been tempted along the way/.. but I have resisted. LOL.

Not so with mods and tanks: went a bit overboard there. LOL.

Anna

Yeah that's where I am in getting another Topside... I have so many mods! Like, for real..

It's hard to rationalize anything when you can set up your own personal vape shop... hahaha

Two words: Dovpo Topside...

I lost mine amidst the boxes somewhere in this house right after the move, so I bought two more, one a dual the other the single battery (which can accept a 21700 battery if you like)

Yet, I'm still sitting here thinking of getting another for an additional backup... I think that's your issue? Hahaha

I love my mechs, but I love this regulated too - a lot. :)

I bought into the Topsides when they first came out too... and like them best with Digiflavor Mesh Pro RDA's.
The first one bought was for my DIY Pistachio Light Cream, but I bought 3 of them (all with matchy DMP's).

I like most of my regulated squonk mod combo's (they all run Mesh RDA's), but I love my mech squonker's far more. My all time favorite mech squonker's are the Reo's, especially the five P67's running Profile Mesh RDA's. But I also really like my mech Defiant Design Drip Tech DS with a matchy Profile Mesh RDA more than with the matchy original 528 Custom Goon I used to run on it.

I actually never bought a REO, I was late into the squonking game..

The first squonker I tried was the Luna, it was inexpensive so I bought it and really liked squonking, although I wasn't thrilled with the bottle set up as filling was a bit of a pain. I then bought the Topside dual which checked my battery life and filling boxes, followed by a flask and 2 Armageddon squonk boxes...

The flask works wonders with the Luna because its not airtight, but works less well with filling the Armageddon squonk bottles because those are definitely airtight.. it's either that or I just haven't found the trick to it yet...

So I keep finding myself falling back on the topside instead of the mechs.. they are just really well designed.

Between the Luna and the Armageddon though, my preference is definitely the Armageddon even without using a flask to fill.. they hit nicer..

Squonking (A REO) was really the first vaping setup for me that wasn't a complete mess. Now realise this is 7+ years ago and gear was not as good as it is now. Everything leaked for me. Tried squonking and didn't look back for years. Now I use a little bit of everything but squonking is still my primary vape setup.

My REOs are my long term vape survival plan. They are nearly indestructible and I bought spare parts before the company went out of business. My daily driver right now is a Pulse BF X regulated squonker. Been using it as a primary for a nearly a year now and just love the thing. With my tiny hands though it is a bit big for driving (Still use my old penguins for that).

Squonking really is for me the best no fuss no muss get the job done setup out there.

Back when they came out some people had issues with the Topside single, but I never had any at all with my three.

My tour with vaping was a progressive one from the very start. Buying and trying endless gear to find what worked best for me, and coming up with my own juice recipes that were mixed for my personal tastes instead of someone else's idea of taste.

As for the Reo's... it was REALLY HARD for me to stop buying the Reo's (both metal and wood). But I did finally stop and #37 was the last one. I started vaping with mech's and was very comfortable with them from the start. So when it came to mods, the Reo's were the main earth shattering gear in my vaping.

The last earth shattering discovery in vaping for me was around 2.5 years ago when they first started coming out... the squonk Mesh RDA's (and soon after the Profile Unity Mesh RTA's). I had played the Genesis atty games long before then, but I liked these way more. So the boxes full of endless coil atty's of every description that came before them were all replaced by 27 of these mesh drivers that would prove to be the only atty's used for the duration of my vaping. In fact, after spending $thousands$ every year from the start on gear, the very last vape gear purchase I made was the last mesh atty I bought in June 2019. Since I already had ten years worth of DIY supplies on hand then my vape budget has been $0 since then (actually, being very long retired with no family responsibilities since 2002 I never had a vape budget, I bought whatever I wanted).
Not an as extraordinary time line as it might sound though... I stopped vaping last fall.

I've heard that the Geekvape Aegis Squonk is hard to kill.

I have one of these and wish I hadn't bought it. Works great. However, I like to rinse out the bottle from time to time and getting the bottle out of the Aegis Squonk is a royal PITB. Six teeny tiny little screws have to be removed first and three of them were already stripped before I could even try to remove them. It now sits in the box. Bought the Dovpo 90 W Squonk and I love it.

I was just thinking that @stols001 would have to try really hard to make one expire @Vapemesilly.

I would have probably picked one or more up myself if they had decided to use a 21700 cell, as you don't see many ruggedised Squonk mods.

I bet a 21700 Aegis Squonk mod it will be released before the end of the year just in time for the holiday season or sometime after the new year in time for a Chinese New Year rush.

They will likely call it the Aegis Squonk Max just as they called the 21700 aegis solo the Aegis Max.

BTW, I must confess: I'm not a squonker. I do own a few regulated squonk kits that I bought for a ridiculous clearance price but I only use them as regular mods.

I only bought them because of the price, because they take 21700 batts and because it comes with a solid cover for the bottle so it essentially looks and feels like a regular mod.

They aren't the greatest mods in the world, but for what I paid they do me just fine as a sub-20W vaper and they are nice and large so they can be used as a nice rebuilding platform.

i started squonking pretty close to join date here (joined for reoville)

i can't wick RTA, dripping means carrying extra stuff

there used to be a much bigger gap for flavour out of RDA compared to RTA.Not so much now (even drop in coils have come a long way)

i like the form factor, and pressing bottle kinda replaces ashing cig, for hand action

if i started today, i think i would be on billetbox bandwagon

Nothing wrong with cross dressing mods for the uses you want them to handle... I have.

I have 3 of the Sigelei Fuchia Squonk mods (red, blue, black). The included atty left a lot to be desired, but I already had buckets full of squonk RDA's that worked just fine on them. However their last tour of duty though was running Wotofo Profile Unity Mesh RTA's with them being just a battery to run them on, with the blank door installed over the squonk bottle.

Five of the six Unity Mesh RTA's on an Arthena Pride, 2 Fuchia's, and 2 Sigelei 213's. The 6th SS Unity was put on the Black Fuchia that came after the picture was taken.

I have one. My biggest gripe with it is the difficulty in getting replacement bottles at a decent price. Almost impossible to find from a shop/online shop and obscene shipping costs from the company that makes it. I did find a few last winter but it was a mess. So anyone tempted to buy one of these needs to think about that.

I've heard a lot about mesh and your definitely a proponent of them, but I'm a mtl to restricted lung vapor.

My favorite RDA's are the KRMA and the galaxies, so far. The Axial works, but is a bit on the airy side for me etc.

Are the mesh RDA's too airy for me do you think if I was to try one?

For mesh squonking I have Vandy Vape Mesh RDA's, Digiflavor Mesh Pro RDA's, and Wotofo Profile Mesh RDA's. It's been so long since I bought them (2 to 2.5 years ago) that I can't remember exactly which ones come with both a squonk positive pin and a solid positive pin without going and trying to find the boxes they came it (but I am pretty sure the Mesh Pro did). I ran all of mine in squonk mode.

Mesh RDA's is all about the build/wicking. Tame them with the right build and they are wonderful, mess up the build and they can bea fire breathing dragons if you dry hit them. Enter the easiest of all of them that came later, the Profile's. They are by far the easiest to build and get the wicking right due to their spring loaded deck. In fact most folks get their very first build exactly right. There were endless threads about how to build/wick all of these three posted on ECF that can be found with a search. I started with Cotton Bacon, but found that Vapefly Firebolt Cotton made for the easiest build in any of them. How is in those same threads. The Profile also has AFC's that can be stopped down to just one very, very small hole, so I would think is as restricted MTL as you can get from any atty - yet they can also be open air for us big air DL vapers. It' s been awhile since I have visited any supplier sites, but several still had them in stock back then, and maybe even at bargain prices. Full retail on them was $30-$35 when they came out, I bought 9 of them.

The 9 Mesh Pro's are my next best mesh RDA's.

Picture of a Profile on a Reo P67 gives an idea of just how small the air in one can be.
67profilemesh.jpg

Lots of colors of Profile's were available... (the blue numbers are the ones I bought).

I have been interested, too. I never hear anything much bad about them. Lot of people love them.
