Mostly sweeter juices. I've stayed away from dark juices since I was using mainly fiber wicking atty's, but now that I'm close to 100% SS atty's I need to venture into darker bakery type juices :D
I'm just finding my coils get gunked quickly. Sometimes mid tank I have to get a sharp object and poke and scrap carbon of my coils cause so much has built up.

Could you give me some more details? resistance of the coil, voltage you're vaping at, what device you're using, what juice it is?

I know that juices with dark colors and sweeter flavors tend to 'gunk up' and leave more deposits than clearer, less sweet juices. Especially if the juice uses sweeteners on top of the flavors.

You might just be 'stuck' with that. You were probably getting just as much gunk as before but with a home made coil and wick set up you're going to notice it more.

I've found that I can't vape one of my favorite DIY juices on the Gen Clones, unless I want to wrap a new coil with every tank full. But then, when I vape it in a Vivi Nova or a CE2, I can only get a couple fill before the wick and coil needs cleaning, as well. It's a chocolate, peanut butter, graham cracker, concoction that resembles Reeses' PB Cups. It's a great tasting juice, but a very labor intensive one, as well.

I also get gunked up coils with some of my sweeter juices, I separate my juices so I know which ones to put through my line and viva tank.

I love RBAs, even though I'm fairly new at it. But CE2s, CE3s, Vivi Novas, etc. are still easier and quicker to clean. I only have one dark juice, the one I mentioned in my previous post. So, I'm going to have to relegate it to those types of cartos. I'll reserve my Gens for tobacco and lighter types.

My current favorite (2-3 ml daily) is very dark, needs cleaning every day or 2. Phoenixes are what I use for the dirty juices – tweezers/needle clean at beginning, wash/burn when needed, a week or so then rebuild.

I go through 5-6 flavors a day. A dozen of juices stand ready in genesis tank attys, viv novas, and few other tryouts.
