SS Mesh in Ego coil?

I'm trying to figure out if this is safe or not. I've heard of people shorting their batteries out doing this, I'm guessing because it draws too much current or it interfered with the ground?

Is there anyway this topic could be moved to the Ego forum even though I don't have enough posts to post there myself?

naw, personally i don't think it's safe for a ego or any low amp battery. might as well play it safe.
