good thread everyone! thanks! i was workin all day yesterday so im gettin back to it right now...
i have the need to tilt all my pieces, if i dont, especially at sub-ohms, my wicks, no matter how fat, cannot keep up and dry up at that amount of watts (mid-upper 20's)...0.5 ohm, 3 wrap .8 ribbon kanthal....there was a certain point, that i began to only use ribbon k, both, in .5x.1 for above an ohm coil (regulated set ups), and .8x.1 (mechs) sub-ohm coils....i instantly saw how much easier it was to work with both from a wrapping and a hotspot perspective, and the flavor seems better...i dont think its hard to put 2 n2 together n see that so much more area of the wick is being used as a heating surface...
about mesh sizes, i have trouble (kinda) getting epipemods pipesauce to wick really well using any mesh setup....i have a suspicion its just their juice, but mesh changes the taste for me, and it vaporizes weird- it gurgles and gunks up the wick before vaporizing, a really odd thing to see on a mesh wick- anyone else notice that with pipe sauce? heres a close up of a sub ohm recently made coil

.8 ribbon kanthal 0...6 ohm (about), this is my new solid wick, seems to vape excellent, u can kinda see heating started from the middle of the coil by discoloration----in other words- success...
share ur pics- take ur tops off today!!!
