Hey everyone I'm looking to play around with a mesh wick today and I was wondering if you all had any pics of your mesh setups that could help me out and also any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I do use cotton. I was planning on trying to do something with both cotton and mesh


So...some assistance for the OP please :)

I know you mentioned using both the mesh and cotton, not sure if you meant together as a hybrid wick or separately, but my recommendation would be separately. Some do use together as a hybrid which is easier to get working but it's just a bandaid if you ask me. Once you add cotton to the mesh you cannot just dry burn, you have to rewick the cotton every time it gunks which eliminates one of the benefits to a mesh build, good luck and as usual qorax has great pictorials to follow

I use mesh with cotton tails in the Erlkonigin.

I agree in non genny attys you can and isn't a big deal because the cotton is just a drape and can be easily redone. In a genny they use it around the tip of the mesh , then coil it to prevent shorts. That's the method I wouldn't get used to because after a slight gunk, you cannot dry burn unless you redo the whole thing.
