Thanks for the answers, guys.
The problem it seems is, that I'm not a regular here at ECF and don't know the history of things :) I come here only when I need to buy something, like GGTS or Odysseus. I read for some time, get fed up with scrolling through chatter while looking for info and leave. ECF is a bottomless pit :) Who has the time to sift through all the posts? I started vaping to quit smoking, now I vape because I want to keep from smoking. That's about it. Smoking was not a hobby, but a vice. I went to a store, bought me 10 cartons of cigarettes which lasted me a couple of months and thats that. vaping is more of the same. It is not my passion, hobby, life style or somesuch. If it was, I would be making my own mods, most probably. vaping works for me, not the other way around and I want to keep it that way. I'm honestly afraid, if vaping would become work (hanging in forums, research, etc), it would end up being too much of a hassle.

So. Sorry for being ignorant of the history of GG and thanks for the answers.

@Imeo, I'm probably so much used to common company practices to "lock in" the customers in their line of products, that I even forgot myself there for a minute. Kudos to you my friend for making the Ody work with any type of e-cig first of all and with your own GG line the second. This is commendable.

If by any chance anyone mistakes me for a hater, let me quote my 3rd post:
I ordered GGTS in July of this year (so, 5 months ago by now). From the day it arrived and I fired it up, I never used anything else.

Back to the main question: where do you guys buy the wick for Odysseus? (more than 3 feet at a time)

Cryo - I will get my Ody wick from Bruce. You can buy as many lots of three feet that you want. If you can find it cheaper just remember. When or if you have a problem with anything gg- the first person you will be hollering for will be Bruce for parts, etc etc. Don't forget the local gg supplier

Warning! Here comes the criticism :)

1. I've already spent ~$400 bucks on GGTS + Ody and now I'm in for probably another $30 just to make it fit nicely? :glare: It's not like I want to connect Ody to some unknown mod or something, it's freaking GGTS, ie: I want to use together the only two things Imeo produces atm, afaik.

2. What was the reason behind the decision to make collector tank so long? I mean, after months of dripping, I have never ever collected any liquid in there! I had no leaks of liquid that needed to be collected there. (I actually had some very minor leakage through the center pin orings. Never had trouble with it, my batteries never got wet, just occasionally had to wipe the small amount of liquid from the inside of GGTS'es top cap.)

3. I have no way of seeing how many liquid I've got in the Odysseus. Why Ody's body could not have been out of plastic or at least have a window? Further more, even if I open the top cap, I cannot freaking see anything, because the atty and the mouthpiece on top of it takes up almost all the space inside and its reeeeeaaaaaaly hard to see if there's any liquid left in the narrow space around them (well, maybe it isn't in a broad daylight, but I'm a night dweller :) ).

4. Totally nitpicking. The huge size of Odysseus compared to the amount of liquid it holds. It kinda feels, that even though smaller in size, the collector could hold more liquid than Ody. Funnily, all the empty space in otherwise huge collector tank is wasted as it not used by anything it seems (correct me if I'm wrong).
When/if I connect GGTS with collector tank and Odysseus, the whole thing will look and feel more like a weapon than an ecig

5. Maybe here is not a right place (maybe it would be better to ask this somewhere else), but my GGTS'es button gets quite hot sometimes (rather often), if I'm chain-vaping. Is this normal? IMHO, it shouldn't be this way. Is this a general design flaw or a flaw in my particular unit?

PS:
I ordered GGTS in July of this year (so, 5 months ago by now). From the day it arrived and I fired it up, I never used anything else. Nor I have anything else, btw. My girlfriend killed all Infernos about a month later and quit vaping afterwards. (Vaping got her to quit smoking, now she has quit vaping. Good for her - I'm not so lucky, I love it too much.) Anyway, the only thing I have and use in my GGTS. That alone says alot - GGTS work for me and I haven't felt the need to look for something else. Some might say, I don't know any better - maybe. Time will tell.

Mine's too shiny. :glare:

mm, clever.

On the other hand let's do this. Are you saying, that I'm not allowed to question the product I paid for? Are you serious? Do you mean I must be content with the privilege to own it or something? Is it impolite to question a product I bought? Is it a rule here on ECF or GG forums? If any of that is true, please tell me, because I need to get to the WTS forum, sell this stuff and get the hell out of here then, pronto.
It is not a freaking $3 chinese ecig kit from alibaba. Though it does not matter, because if I spend my money on something and I have a question about it or a reason to think it's not working properly, I contact customer service or go to the forums and ask questions, doesn't everybody? Especially in this situation, where this forum is the only customer service that GG has, doesn't it? I thought it was more polite to ask the questions here, than to batter Imeo with private messages. If I was wrong, then I'm sorry and please, tell me.
Or maybe Odysseus is perfect in every way and I'm an idiot to even question that? I guess, that'll be answered, when a new version comes out.
I paid $400 bucks for GGTS+Odysseus. About a month ago I bought Acer Iconia Tab A500 for my gf and paid $230. How about that amount of engineering for the relative amount of money? The example is inappropriate in many ways, but it's just of the top of my head and to keep things in perspective. The prices for mods are what they are, if they weren't there would probably be no mods at all, because nobody would bother. But don't you expect me to be happy or content with it, or shut up and not even question the otherwise expensive product that I bought. If someones does not want to deal with customers, that person should not be manufacturing or selling anything.

At this point I should probably ask, is there any other/better place/way to get customer service for GG? Because this is kinda ridiculous.

Also, is here any official/unofficial rule to not discuss the ways and places to find/buy things cheaper? I mean, I'm not buying wire or wick for $3 or even $2 for 3 feet. I bought resistance wire at $7 for 100 feet with free shipping. If there is such a rule as not to discuss the cheaper places to get vaping materials, I would like to know and stop wasting my time here.

On the topic, would this wick be ok for use with Odysseus:
Ten yard hank of round braid fiberglass wick or Braided fiberglass wick. Spool size 100 yards. I assume, Ody requires 1/16'' wick? If this wick is no good, could you please elaborate why?

Out of curiosity, why so many people here own many mods/ecigs? On rare occasions that I come here I sometimes feel kinda inadequate, by owning only one ecig/mod (GGTS). Though the next thing on my mind always is - in all of my 21 years of "smoking carrier" I have never met a person who would smoke more than one brand of cigarettes at a time. Why would I buy another, if this one works and I like it? Do you have multiple mods for multiple occasions, like vaping at home, while driving, in public, etc?

Hey there,
You do have the right to dissect a product which you have paid for.
I wouldn't call this the official place of customer service. Officially, Imeo or Bruce (if you live in the US) are the customer service people. PMs work great for both of them. The GG subforum is more of a gathering place for people who vape GGs.

And it is totally okay to discuss other options/places for wick and wire. I know that through the GG subforum I found ebay and a jewlers site where I got R and NR wire.

It's a good question... I only own 2 myself (both GGTSs). I think for people who vape quite a few juices during one day, it can be more convenient to have multiple mods. Personally, mods are pretty expensive for my budget (as I am a student). I think people also like to collect certain mods. All in all, vaping can be very personal. Not a single mod or flavor of juice will satisfy somebody like with cigarettes, so people have expanded their collections.

Who knows, though. That's just my thought.

Sorry if I came of cocky in my relied response as it wasn't intended at all.

As
For the wick you linked I believe that is the same wick the original iatty came with. If so someone independently did some preliminary tests on it and it doesn't look like a good wick to use health wise. Aside from that it also burns very easily and needs to be replaced much more frequently then then I would like.

As to why most of us have more then one I guess you could say it is a disease or addiction or hobby. Why do some people own more then 2 guns you can't use more then 2 at once. I spend all my free money on ggs. I use to spend it all on my vette and truck and before that guns and before that cheap swords and knives. And before that hotwheels and baseball cards. I guess I have a collector personality lol.

huh? I don't even understand why you're saying sorry, m8 :). I'm so sorry if you've got the impression that my rant was in any way directed at you. I most probably overreacted, as usual, I have too little patience for forums and I'm first to admit that. I'm working on it :) I just kept refreshing the page every hour or so the whole day, waiting for someone to give some pointers on wick, instead that single line kept popping up all the time. I guess it got me, finally. I must admit, I kept reading constant praises of GGTS and Odysseus and so on, to the point that I couldn't help but wonder if its not another fanboy party :) I am probably wrong, and I sincerely apologize, if I am. I'm just used to take everything with a grain of salt. And I have serious questions about Odys design choices.

Bah. Sad news then :/ The search continues.

Money well spent saved from nasty cigarettes and better to get these things then have money end up going to a woman :D
:)

Nobody said anything about not discussing where to buy wick and wire . I said don't. forget the local supplier. You are not the only one with an opinion. What I posted was my opinion. No one told you - you had to go along with it.
I probably misunderstood you. I wrote to Bruce and asked if I could order from him and pick up the things myself, without shipping (why pay for shipping and wait for days for the order to come by mail), because I live just a couple of miles away. Regrettably he said, he does not do face to face. Sad news for me, because I would have been very happy to meet anyone (live person) who vapes, especially the guy who makes a living from it. I could probably learn a lot. I do not have any single friend who vapes, no one to share the experiences and tips with. I met the guy from VaporFlow about a year ago and just a couple of weeks ago, the guy from AvidVaper. Both were very nice people and even in that very short time I learned quite a lot from both of them. Anyway, to be honest, if I don't get a local business perks, why should I pay 10 times the price? If it's same quality item, a trusted online shop, I go with the price, obviously.

Thank you all for your comments on owning multiple mods. Very nice to hear other peoples thoughts on this.

I just recently (3 days ago) "converted" one of my oldest and best friends to vaping. If he sticks with it - he's .... about research, so that's taken care of :).

I like to collect many fine things. Flyrods, reels, firearms, vintage flies, game calls and now GG's

I like these things to use, to admire.......

yeppers, agreed and same....for me, I'd rather spend on the loves in my life...my GF, my son, guns, archery gear, flyfishing and flytying gear (cant forget other fishing gear too) ...RC planes, helicoters and boats,...vintage ProFlex mountainbikes, scuba gear, cd's and dvd's...books...pv's......it goes on and on...rather my hobbies and interests than on those nasty coffin nails....

I totally agree with wigglr here...I know I've done it a few times, and I know others do to, dont take it personally, we all sometimes say, explain or take things the wrong way and dont mean to offend anyone. we're all here for the same thing...to meet others with the same interest in vaping (GG's in these threads of course), get more info, and look for help from other members that may have had the same problem and/or know what to do or suggest...no harm in that at all...

I myself like more than one PV, and more than one flavor juice....I have a few different mods(3 GG's, 2 GLV's, a Provari, and a Zenesis on it's way..), and a ton of different juices (DIY, friend-made and Vendor made)...right now at this minute, 3 of my mods are topped with a tank in one form or another and another one's a juice feeder mod...a 5th is a stealth that I'm dripping with...sorry, i can't stick with one flavor at a time, i like too many....right now 5 different flavors flowing... SL-Rat's Ratjuice (homemade RY4) in an iAtty on my GGTS, TV spearmint in a VPX cartotank on the side with a 2.5 ohm atty dripping Pharmboy's Icy Island Mojito with my SS stealth, TV Kickazz Caramel in a VPX carto tank on my Provari, TV Candy Cane in my GLV-3 mini......I'm in vaping heaven atm :)

cryo, you look like a very nice guy and I dont think that someone here said something bad to you exept I miss something. You are always welcome to ask anything. And when I say anything , I mean anything.:)

As for your search about wick, you will not find any good exept the original wick that Bruce sells. I made this research before you:)
