nuff said...I ordered GGTS in July of this year (so, 5 months ago by now). From the day it arrived and I fired it up, I never used anything else.
Mine's too shiny.Warning! Here comes the criticism
1. I've already spent ~$400 bucks on GGTS + Ody and now I'm in for probably another $30 just to make it fit nicely? It's not like I want to connect Ody to some unknown mod or something, it's freaking GGTS, ie: I want to use together the only two things Imeo produces atm, afaik.
2. What was the reason behind the decision to make collector tank so long? I mean, after months of dripping, I have never ever collected any liquid in there! I had no leaks of liquid that needed to be collected there. (I actually had some very minor leakage through the center pin orings. Never had trouble with it, my batteries never got wet, just occasionally had to wipe the small amount of liquid from the inside of GGTS'es top cap.)
3. I have no way of seeing how many liquid I've got in the Odysseus. Why Ody's body could not have been out of plastic or at least have a window? Further more, even if I open the top cap, I cannot freaking see anything, because the atty and the mouthpiece on top of it takes up almost all the space inside and its reeeeeaaaaaaly hard to see if there's any liquid left in the narrow space around them (well, maybe it isn't in a broad daylight, but I'm a night dweller).
4. Totally nitpicking. The huge size of Odysseus compared to the amount of liquid it holds. It kinda feels, that even though smaller in size, the collector could hold more liquid than Ody. Funnily, all the empty space in otherwise huge collector tank is wasted as it not used by anything it seems (correct me if I'm wrong).
When/if I connect GGTS with collector tank and Odysseus, the whole thing will look and feel more like a weapon than an ecig
5. Maybe here is not a right place (maybe it would be better to ask this somewhere else), but my GGTS'es button gets quite hot sometimes (rather often), if I'm chain-vaping. Is this normal? IMHO, it shouldn't be this way. Is this a general design flaw or a flaw in my particular unit?
PS:
I ordered GGTS in July of this year (so, 5 months ago by now). From the day it arrived and I fired it up, I never used anything else. Nor I have anything else, btw. My girlfriend killed all Infernos about a month later and quit vaping afterwards. (Vaping got her to quit smoking, now she has quit vaping. Good for her - I'm not so lucky, I love it too much.) Anyway, the only thing I have and use in my GGTS. That alone says alot - GGTS work for me and I haven't felt the need to look for something else. Some might say, I don't know any better - maybe. Time will tell.

mm, clever.
On the other hand let's do this. Are you saying, that I'm not allowed to question the product I paid for? Are you serious? Do you mean I must be content with the privilege to own it or something? Is it impolite to question a product I bought? Is it a rule here on ECF or GG forums? If any of that is true, please tell me, because I need to get to the WTS forum, sell this stuff and get the hell out of here then, pronto.
It is not a freaking $3 chinese ecig kit from alibaba. Though it does not matter, because if I spend my money on something and I have a question about it or a reason to think it's not working properly, I contact customer service or go to the forums and ask questions, doesn't everybody? Especially in this situation, where this forum is the only customer service that GG has, doesn't it? I thought it was more polite to ask the questions here, than to batter Imeo with private messages. If I was wrong, then I'm sorry and please, tell me.
Or maybe Odysseus is perfect in every way and I'm an idiot to even question that? I guess, that'll be answered, when a new version comes out.
I paid $400 bucks for GGTS+Odysseus. About a month ago I bought Acer Iconia Tab A500 for my gf and paid $230. How about that amount of engineering for the relative amount of money? The example is inappropriate in many ways, but it's just of the top of my head and to keep things in perspective. The prices for mods are what they are, if they weren't there would probably be no mods at all, because nobody would bother. But don't you expect me to be happy or content with it, or shut up and not even question the otherwise expensive product that I bought. If someones does not want to deal with customers, that person should not be manufacturing or selling anything.
At this point I should probably ask, is there any other/better place/way to get customer service for GG? Because this is kinda ridiculous.
Also, is here any official/unofficial rule to not discuss the ways and places to find/buy things cheaper? I mean, I'm not buying wire or wick for $3 or even $2 for 3 feet. I bought resistance wire at $7 for 100 feet with free shipping. If there is such a rule as not to discuss the cheaper places to get vaping materials, I would like to know and stop wasting my time here.
On the topic, would this wick be ok for use with Odysseus:
Ten yard hank of round braid fiberglass wick or Braided fiberglass wick. Spool size 100 yards. I assume, Ody requires 1/16'' wick? If this wick is no good, could you please elaborate why?
Out of curiosity, why so many people here own many mods/ecigs? On rare occasions that I come here I sometimes feel kinda inadequate, by owning only one ecig/mod (GGTS). Though the next thing on my mind always is - in all of my 21 years of "smoking carrier" I have never met a person who would smoke more than one brand of cigarettes at a time. Why would I buy another, if this one works and I like it? Do you have multiple mods for multiple occasions, like vaping at home, while driving, in public, etc?

huh? I don't even understand why you're saying sorry, m8Sorry if I came of cocky in my relied response as it wasn't intended at all.
Bah. Sad news then :/ The search continues. For the wick you linked I believe that is the same wick the original iatty came with. If so someone independently did some preliminary tests on it and it doesn't look like a good wick to use health wise. Aside from that it also burns very easily and needs to be replaced much more frequently then then I would like.
Money well spent saved from nasty cigarettes and better to get these things then have money end up going to a woman![]()
I probably misunderstood you. I wrote to Bruce and asked if I could order from him and pick up the things myself, without shipping (why pay for shipping and wait for days for the order to come by mail), because I live just a couple of miles away. Regrettably he said, he does not do face to face. Sad news for me, because I would have been very happy to meet anyone (live person) who vapes, especially the guy who makes a living from it. I could probably learn a lot. I do not have any single friend who vapes, no one to share the experiences and tips with. I met the guy from VaporFlow about a year ago and just a couple of weeks ago, the guy from AvidVaper. Both were very nice people and even in that very short time I learned quite a lot from both of them. Anyway, to be honest, if I don't get a local business perks, why should I pay 10 times the price? If it's same quality item, a trusted online shop, I go with the price, obviously.Nobody said anything about not discussing where to buy wick and wire . I said don't. forget the local supplier. You are not the only one with an opinion. What I posted was my opinion. No one told you - you had to go along with it.
I like to collect many fine things. Flyrods, reels, firearms, vintage flies, game calls and now GG's
I like these things to use, to admire.......
Hey there,
You do have the right to dissect a product which you have paid for.
I wouldn't call this the official place of customer service. Officially, Imeo or Bruce (if you live in the US) are the customer service people. PMs work great for both of them. The GG subforum is more of a gathering place for people who vape GGs.
And it is totally okay to discuss other options/places for wick and wire. I know that through the GG subforum I found ebay and a jewlers site where I got R and NR wire.
