I am using an aga t2 on a ehpro ea clone. My wick is 3.5in x 1.4in of 500 stainless steel mesh with 3/4 wrap of 29 gauge kanthal coming in at 0.9 ohms. My problem is sometimes it wicks well and other times it does not. I can be using it and out of nowhere i will get a burnt hit. Thinking i have a hot spot i remove cap and wick is bone dry.

This happens full tank and on down. Doesnt matter fill screw in or out although it is better with fill screw out. Any and all help is appreciated. So what are the best ways to make mesh wick consistently?

You may have a hot spot on the coil wrap. Do all the wraps glow evenly? You could try to space out the wraps and try again. Mesh is normally more consistent than silica as long as it is oxidized fully before using. Also, I would try to drip juice directly on the coil and pulse it a little to see how well it is wicking.

I think it was a hot spot. I removed wick and did a juice burn and rewrapped coil in 28 guage ribbon 3 wrap at .9 ohm. Been wicking fine ever since. The crazy part is it has happened on different wicks and coils and when i remove juice and check for hot spots everything lights up perfect even glow and starts from middle out.

The juice is between 80 and 90vg. Any tips for future use is greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone for your time and assistance.
