I've said it before and I'll say it again: I just seem to need massive amounts of juice in a single hit to satisfy me.
I've been round the course. From Generic Blu-type stuff when I started, to the Silver Bullet, to the 6V Great Lakes vapor box mod that cost me $200+.
I've been through the cleaning; through the flavors that cause buildup, restriction, and nastiness. I've been from 3.7V to 6V. From single bridgeless 510s to triple coil cartos.
They cannot hold up to my vaping. (As in atomizers/cartos. vs wattage/heat I need)
I now build my own mods using 12.6V starting voltage. Triple LiPo cells. Regulated voltage. 5V or 6V. That means, I have no voltage sag. When I run 5V, it doesn't sag to 4.5V and lose current or fall off quickly, it puts out up to 5V @ 5A (25W) for a good day - 3 days depending on batteries used.
Here's what I require.
Initially I deduced the problem to localized heating clearly burning the area around coils. I was getting good vapes right after soak in (15 min) on triple coil carts (I have not used a clearomizer yet though I suspect it *may* be what I need). Perfect vapes @ 1.5-1.6 ohms across triples. But then, as I look away and vape, the stinging heat of the tube reminds me, I am pulling huge, long draws. 15 second draws. My friends on the same thing, 1-3 seconds. I'm not trying to brag about the fact my lungs simply don't feel much. I am just different, and my body accepts these huge vapes as "normal". I use 1.8-2.4% nic. I'm on Max Ultimate flavor now.
So,
I run my own machine shop; I can make a lot of things.
I initially machined a heat sink for the 510 atomizer/carto. It had no major effect, as it cooled the tube, the tube didn't necessarily cool anything else very much (removed decal on test unit). Basically just made heat build up, and hang longer.
I tried one of my friends clearomizers, I guess you would say "generic 510 3ml clearomizer"? (Alt Smoke). Right, I mean pretty much, these dual coil things and triples are all the same, just labeled and sold by different stores, in a sense? Anyways, I got a good hit, amazing--when I put his clearomzr on my rig (with same flavor).
Well I remember when there were no triples. Doubles were like "oooo, ahhhh". Now I'm looking for octagonal, hexagonal, quadrouple even...no I'm just kidding.
What I need is parts! If the industry cannot fix my problem, I will. I'm going to machine an aluminum box mod, my box mod. It's going to run 12.6V charged. Twin cartomizers in parallel, and a "Y-manifold" drip tip that brings you the vapor from both cartos at once. Then I will push each carto @ around 4.0V. 6 coils feeding me should greatly reduce the heating issues a single was trying to perform.
So, who sells 510 sockets that can be wired? As in, the 510 female thread insert you see on every e-cig...is there a good store specifically for parts for people like me who build their own box mods? THANKS!!!
Also, what are some blueprints if any, that show me standards of 510 thread sizes, or the size of different clearomizer tanks in diameter? I first need to machine a head plate to hold the atomizers side-by-side.
No more locked doors.
