Hi, I'm happy to be here and would appreciate some help.

I ordered two bottles of Honey Suckle (80%VG/20%PG) juice from Vixen Vapors and got a warning card that it doesn't work with certain plastics. I figured, no problem, I have a stainless steel iClear 16 that I can use. All was well but after a half hour of vaping I got a nasty taste. At first I figured it needed a new head so I replaced it. Well, immediately after replacing the head it still tasted nasty. I investigated further and discovered that the plastic tip on the iClear 16 was melting away with plastic rubbing off with a swipe of a paper towel. I'm pretty broke and can't afford to order different juice, so my question is... If I get a stainless steel tip ($6.25 shipped) to go along with the steel iClear 16 tank, will that work? In other words, will the juice not eat away the o-rings or somehow screw up the heads?

Hi and welcome!

The first parts of my gear I noticed melting were the ends of drip tips. I now use stainless steel, glass, aluminum and ceramic tips (juice will melt acrylic and Delrin). I haven't had any problems. The o-rings are usually made of silicone or rubber.

You might find something in my blog useful. I try to keep it updated, but there are so many new juice safe devices hitting the market, it's hard to stay current.

EEEKKK! What happened to my tank?

ETA: Have you checked Vapor Beast? They have free shipping.
