I ordered a stainless steel V3 from fasttech, along with Kanger Protank and some of their evod knockoffs. The closer I look at the description, the more I'm second guessing it. The description says/omits the following...

No mention of ego threading. Other V3s don't mention it either, but the pictures show it; the SS's pic doesn't.
Doesn't say one 18350 can be used, but they say V3s shipping after 7/8 will have 2 small extension tubes
Different button colors including black and white.

Anyone get one yet? I ordered on Sunday 7/7 and it shipped Thursday 7/11.

I'm very excited to get my first mod. Hopefully it'll have the ego threading, SS buttons and I'll be able to use a single 18350. If it doesn't do those things, I'm not going to be very happy.

I bought a Nitecore i4, Panasonic 18650s and eFest 18350s from Amazon. They're all charged up and ready to go.

My V3 just came yesterday (chrome) it has ego threading. Only thing, on mine the pressure fit part where the battery tube connects comes loose when i stack 18350s, it pushes a bit with a single 18650, but im waiting till I drain that battery before i try single 18350.

Are you using flat or button topped 18350s?

Really, all you have to do is look at the pictures.. And.. a Vamo is an ego/510 device. The V3 also has removable top cap to help accommodate larger ego items, or to let you choose another option that uses the ego threading, like cones.

I have looked at the pictures. The chrome/black chrome V3's descriptions don't say eGo threading, but you can clearly see it in the pictures. The stainless steel pics don't have eGo threading. Click on the first image:

Chrome V3, click on the last image:

Hopefully it has eGo threads when it gets here.

I don't see them in that pic either. I've got it on my iPhone and enlarged it. Not saying my iPhone is the best pic viewer though. And I'm not crazy, I just noticed others asking about it on FastTech too. One person says he/she has it and it has eGo threads, but he/she got it from a different vendor. Hopefully mine will have them too:

It'll probably have them, but with my luck...

It came in the mail this afternoon (Friday). Of course the only amount of time I've had with it is to open it up and visually inspect it. Had to run out the door before I had time to clean the tanks, fill them and fire it up. However...

It does have eGo threads
It has 2 equal battery tubes so I can go single 18350
The buttons are also stainless
No rhinestones

It's smaller than I thought it would be (that's what she said), but it's heavier than I thought

For the people turned off visually by the grooves - they're pretty shallow and not distracting (at least to me). I thought I'd hate the looks of it, but went with it anyway because I won't see it when I'm vaping on it. The finish is brushed stainless, so maybe the polished chrome ones would show off those grooves a lot more? I don't have another Vamo for comparison.

Also, the threads aren't stainless; I think they're the standard brass/chrome ones press fitted into the stainless body. You can easily see the difference between the threads and the body.

Gotta boil the new tanks tomorrow and fire them up. My Halo Triton tanks won't fit the Vamo, otherwise I'd have took it with me as I ran out the door.

Just to follow up -

This thing is awesome. I get a consistent vape every time. My juices never tasted so good. In my old setup, everything was just about perfect for the first few weeks. Then somehow, I got plagued with dry hits and inconsistency in flavor. Sometimes my juices tasted pretty good, other times just downright awful. The were awful more and more often until I got sick of it and looked to make the change.

That system uses Kanger T2 clearos (or knockoffs), 808 cartos, and nothing else fits the proprietary threads. I'm not totally bashing it, as it easily kept me off a 20 year cigarette habit, but every day I realized more and more that I should start looking for something better. I'll keep it around for when I'm out due to the Vamo's size and lack of inconspicuousness.

My favorite tasting juice was Halo's Tiki Juice. The taste of that juice went downhill very fast mainly due to wicking issues. I'd burn coils immediately, draw was very inconsistent and the quality of flavor dropped. With the Vamo and FastTech evod tanks, I'm tasting it for the first time all over again. I haven't vaped it in over a month because it was a battle that wasn't worth fighting.

It's only been about 3 days, but I know the Vamo will stay this way. I've got 3 juices I really like, and all 3 vape very easily and taste far better. I also have a Kanger Protank, but I'm kind of afraid to use it because I only have one and don't know which juice to use it with. I have the feeling that it'll be so much better than the Evods and I'll have to buy 2 more to compare the other juices. Funny thing is my all day vape is easily the least complex flavor of the 3, so maybe I'll keep that one soley in the Evods.

How do the FastTech Evods compare with the genuine Kanger Evods?

One criticism of the Vamo - the threads don't seem to be big enough; both the eGo threads and the 501. When I put a tank on, it's wobbly until its tight. I guess that's why people are cross threading. With my Halo Triton, the tanks go on perfectly and tightly every time.

Edit: now that I've tried 18350 mode, maybe the Vamo will be easier to take out. Just got to find something to carry it in. Maybe a cigar case? I need to protect the heads while in my pocket. Please - absolutely no lanyard recommendations! No belt clip either. I carry my Triton setup in an epi pen case which holds the Triton perfectly. If only I could find a larger diameter epi pen case.

You could always order a 5-pack replacement coils. Just use 3 coils for the different juices. You'll have to clean the tank each time, and I recommend wrapping the coils you don't use in plastic wrap. Beats ordering 2 more Protanks...until you're absolutely certain it's going to perform they way you want.

I received my Stainless Steel v3 yesterday from Fasttech. I like the new OLED, much more readable. I like the removable top ring, one complaint I had with my v2 is that if/when a little juice got in there, it was somewhat difficult to clean. With the v3 you can just unscrew the top ring and clean it with ease.

I'm not sure if it's because of the stainless steel finish or something else, but the groves in the body actually look good to me. They are rather subtle, not at all like they appear in the photos.
