stainless steel wick

Hi all. Just wondering, has anyone used T304 SS cable for wick. I see the vape sites that sell it, sell T316, or 316. The SS mesh is T304, so you would think T304 cable is useable. Its not galvanized. So why not, right? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
