Ok ive used just about every style of genny setup you can try 300-500 ss mesh all with and without ecowool sleeve some even wrapped in cotton. Ive done ecowool and cotton wicks by themselves. Even the brain style. The style that works best for me is ceramic wick 1/8 size. I did have to drill oit the wick hole and the ceramic once it heats up is kind of like a heat sink. But it does taste better than any other device I have its just the aga-t+.

So it sounds like what I'm getting here is the secret is there is no secret. You just have to tinker find what works for you.

Yup. Nailed it. I prefer 325 mesh set up as a tube wick with very thin walls. I typically cut my mesh about 1 1/2" by 1/2" for gennies. I get about two wraps of the mesh around a hollow needle. I do torch my mesh, but I don't pre-carbon the wick by soaking in PG/VG and burning. Less mesh equals less delay in heating the coils and also less flavor imparted from the stainless. Tends to work really well for me.

Brain style?

Where you feed a lot of cotton yarn into the tank and pull it up through the coil. If you happen to scorch the cotton, you just pull out some more and snip it. I don't remember who first did it, but he really had the tank full of a lot of yarn. You can picture the brainish look.

It works really well. I have one running like that, just not near as much yarn in the tank. And if you burn through the yarn it can be hard to re-feed it. If you do a horizontal/angled coil it is easier to re-feed if you burn it through.

Now I will say it works ok its far from perfect as a brain. When placing the wick inside the tank like thattry bunching it up in columns instead of doing circular patterns. The wick will get caught and wont spin like I thought it would. Thats why I no longer use it. I used the brain style for a week and a half I think. I found ceramic and havent turned back. 3 wicks for 13.00 is a little pricy but I think it wicks better for me and its easy to build coils while on the device. When I recieved mine there were like 3 grooves cut into the sides of the wick for juice to travel up
