I don't need convincing. I already know I want one. I took my notebook back and my sisters wants to buy my old Kindle so that just leaves what to do about my iPod since I wouldn't need it anymore. So now I'm thinking about buying the Fire. Can't wait to hear from Fudgey about hers.
I"m keeping the laptop because I want to set it up here at home for a second computer but I'm so leaning to putting this on the ole Christmas list!!!!

OMG!!!! I love it....it is so awesome looking!!! Only one thing I haven't figured out how to put books in different categories. Not that big a deal.....but I like to know whether it's a mystery or what, sometimes you can't tell by the title.
There probably is a help section on it. There was with my old one.
On the Fire you can so long as you are at home. I got on ECF with it.....haven't tried posting on it though.
There wasn't anything in the user's guide so I will have to look in the FAQ on Amazon.
Congrats Fudgey, think I will be getting 2 of them next week for 2 of my kids. The other two want cheap laptops. Oh why do kids toys get more expensive all the time?
Fudgey. When you read a book on the Fire is it back lit like on a PC or doesn't it look like the old kindle?

It is backlit. You can adjust the brightness on it.
Did you have the old Kindle before buying the Fire. The background of each page was similar to a paper page. I'm wondering if the backlight is hard on the eyes and if so, does turning down the brightness help?
Yes I have the Kindle keyboard. I haven't read on it for a long enough period of time to really notice. Been to busy looking for games and checking everything else out
I was doing pretty well for while, only ordering stuff I needed. Then the "urge" came over me, and now I've got 4 orders of juice samples pending. Also an order of new cartos, but those pretty much fall into the "need" category, even if they're a new kind of carto for me. Right now I'm stalking the USPS site. The cartos and two of the juice orders have shipped. I'm waiting impatiently for the other two orders to ship. A total of 23 new flavors to try. I'm drooling just thinking about it! 
Yeah! One of the orders is a 10-flavor sample pack from the Vapor Room. I've got 4 flavors coming from Virgin Vapors, 3 from Vapalicious, and 6 from Parkes vaping. I should stop reading the forum. I see posts about someone's favorite vape being from a certain vendor, and even if I don't care for that particular flavor, I want to try the flavors I like from that vendor. My problem is that there are just too many great vendors, LOL.
I haven't been around to post my stalking adventures because I've been too busy shopping and entering contests. Here is what I just got. A 2nd Rev V2 at a dirt cheap price. This will be a backup. A 2nd Riva Indulgence as another backup to the one I won in a contest. And a 3ml DCT tank which I'm really happy with. Yet to come is a spalted maple box mod, another great price I couldn't resist, a Reo Woodvil I got off the classys with the help of nerak/Karin, some juice and unflavored nic (not from BE) and I just won a 901 drip shield in another contest. So I have a lot of stalking to do.
