just thought i'd throw this out there.

i've had the prodigy a couple weeks now, (yeah, you're jealous) and have been using it exclusively. so, with the heat and season being as it is, i don't wear polyester jackets like i do when it's colder, so i end up with less pocket space.

i was going to a new place last night so i was going to try the old standby 901 with a cart to avoid spending the night dripping. so...i fill up a cart, use the "straw trick" for the cart, and start the vaping.

yeah, um, it sucks.

after using a Prodigy at ~5v for two weeks and trying to go back to a ~3.7 standard 901 battery? no. i felt like i was breathing in cool air. i can't believe that the difference is THAT drastic, and i don't remember the 901 feeling so...sub-par.

so, just my opinion and observation...but yeah, i don't think i could ever go back to a lower voltage device because it is A WORLD of difference.

now this poor stash of 901 batteries are just going to become indefinite backups for a device that...is not designed to fail. ;) maybe i'll sell them off.

also, just a side note, while after this experience i do love the Prodigy, i think my interest is piqued for a bit of a smaller device that can give nearly that same experience. so yes...the "V2" in the works may just complete the set of the "must have" devices. i had honestly considered a 510 based on all the rave reviews just for something smaller to carry around in clubs with the convenience of a manual battery, but now...there's no way i could use anything less than a Prodigy.

yeah, sounds like another suck-up testimonial, but seriously...Puresmoker has set the standard with this device.

But from what Steve has said, the V2 will only be 3.7 volts, so that would be like back to your 901.
I am not sure if he'd make a device that he wouldn't want to use himself. And from the very start he was sold on the higher voltage, so I am guessing that he could be convinced to revise the plan and get V2 work with 5V. Or maybe introduce 5V version of it for adults. :)
