Ive had a joye?? 510 that I bought from Cignot about 4 months ago. I have 3 of these and me and my Gf use them regularly.
Myself Id consider atleast a moderate to heavy vapor user and she is a light to moderate. I have 2 chargers a car charger yada yada hehe.
Anyway with regular rotation and the fact that I can charge one while the other is used at work hasnt made it a huge deal with the battery life. I stress the word huge because I have been thinking about the ego as of late and was looking a bit closer at it as of late and happened to stumble upon the mega bats for the 510 ( the 280 mah).
Anyway the ego kinda looks like a baseball bat and from what I have read it looks as if I would have to buy a new charger etc if I went that route. The 510 mega however kinda looks like a 100 version of a cig and seems a bit more appealing cosmetic wise. I know the ego is the greatest etc so no need to tell me lol.
Just wondering how the mega compares to the 510 battery life wise? Can I get a noticeble difference?
:?:I like the idea of not having to buy much else and just use the accessories I already have with my regular 510. Also can anyone who has it tell me if it takes alot longer to charge with the standard 510 charger? Good idea to go this route? Thanks in advance!

The 510 280mah mega battery takes takes nearly twice as long to charge as the510 180mah battery but also lasts twice as long between charges. Average 5 hours use before needing a recharge.

The 650mah ego lasts on average 8 hours between charges. Although you can use any 510 atomizer on the ego, there are also mega xl cartomizers and mega xl atomizers and cartridges that you can use with the ego, that can't be used with the 510 standard and mega batteries. Some can hold nearly 2ml of juice.

Most 510 parts are compatible with the ego, but not all 510 chargers will work with the ego. The old style 510 wall charger for example, would need an adapter. The usb chargers that plug into the wall chargers will work on an ego.

I have 510 mega batts, mega attys, mega carts. They work great and last a reasonable amount of time.

I also now have eGo 650 and 900 mAh and use the 510 mega atty and mega carts on them...now this is a huge improvement in vaping without the need for refilling so often or charging batts. I also love the vape using the eGo with the cone on with these. What's not to like about all day or all night no charging and being able to vape 24+ drops of juice uninterrupted. I do use Fluval in my carts.

The eGo kits come with USB charger that charge eGo batts quickly. Using the 510 chargers with the adaptor takes several hours although it can be done. I wonder if that kind of trickle charge will make batts last longer?

I use the mega batts and two of them get me through a typical work day. Usually the second one starts flashing on my ride home. I do keep some spare standard batts with me, but rarely need to use them. They do take a long time to charge, but that hasn't been a problem so far.

The size seemed big at first, but now the standard size seems tiny.

I haven't fallen prey to the EGO cult yet :) , don't feel I need it. Besides, they kinda look like a kazoo.

Here's a size comparison pic I took a while back. I have some XL CE2s now that are even bigger than the standard atty/cart setup

The Megas take 3 hours to charge using a wall charger and do last about 5 hours of heavy vaping. I love my megas and just ordered 3 more. I had a power outage last week and have been freaking out ever since. I was down to one battery alive and 2 dead and headed to my Moms house to do a 911 battery charge during the outage. Never again! I will now have 5 Megas and 1 short battery in rotation and will be able to go 24+ hrs without electric:)

Thanks for all the info. I have bought 4 mega batts. Two for me and two for my Gf. There is a big enough difference in the batt life that they are perfect for my vaping habits. Like the other post said at the start I thought they were big but now they seem fine and the standard tiny. Cosmetically I am very pleased with them. Thanks for helping me make a informed decision! :D
