frisco:I have been using a LR901 atty on my Riva. I need to order some more and was wondering what the diff is between the performance of the standard 901atty and the LR901.

The old standard 901 atty was 3.4 ohms and with some many different ohm'd attys out there now, not sure what is 'standard' anymore. The LR 901's that I've seen were 1.5ohm so that is a considerable difference. I run 1.5 ohm 510's on my Riva/eGo all day with no problems - burnt out one early one but all others take long draws and seem just fine. I don't think I could stand 3.4ohms on the eGo though - I suppose for some fruit and berry flavors it could work.

Also is the mini 901atty the same thing?

Sorry, haven't heard of that one.

One last question. What do you folks recommend for filler material? There seems to be a few choices.

I've tried quite a few and settled on a blue foam plug (marineland blue foam) with a straw mod:

I cut the blue foam a bit larger than the width and length of the top of the cart and about 3/8 inch deep. The extra dimensions act as a 'spring' against the sides of the cart wall. So there is only the straw and ejuice in the bottom of the cart. I let the bridge determine where the blue foam will be and I don't have to remove the foam to fill. No leaks but I vape with VG but it's the same viscosity as most PG ejuices. With real thin ejuices you might want to lose the straw.

I've been doing a comparison of the regular DSE901 and LR DSE901 from Create Vapor on my Elegant Easy (kind of a Riva for the 901/Kr8). The difference in performance is night and day.

The regular 901 is meant to be used on a true 3.7V battery. For example, on a Kr8 battery or mod, it does just fine ... but on the Elegant (somewhat less than 3.7V), it's a bit disappointing. The LR 901 on the Elegant is excellent (as you would expect from an LR atty). If that is what you are used to, I doubt that you would be satisfied with the regular 901, especially on the Riva (or eGO).

My subjective experience is consistent with Kent's comments about ohms.

As for the "mini 901", I suspect that is simply the 901 (perhaps from a different manufacturer). The 901 was the first mini sized e-cig and is often referred to as the "Mini."
