I suggest trying this with copper or brass wire instead of a steel staple. I'm concerned about wear on the fitting and it seems that copper or brass would make an even better connection with less wear.

Just cut a tiny piece of solid copper wire like telephone wire and bend it....

Thanks i used this trick for my VX2 aka L88b aka j118 the battery connection is a little to short and wouldnt connect to the atomizer. Everything works great now and i have my spare battery back:D oh ya i used a small piece of solid copper wire not a staple but its bent in the same way and copper is a better conductor

Something i forgot to add, different metals do not react with each other in a good way. It's called electrolysis where they react with each other if they are different, I know this from working on copper sprinkler systems and people would use galvanized metal as a shim to prop up a pipe and eventually the pipe would fail and leak because it would eat away at it after a few years. Oh and i meant i can't afford to mess with gold, that is pretty much inert and doesn't react with anything but probably too soft to work with.

An ideal I will try is copper and shape it with a V to insert and on top shape a round contact small enough so it doesn't extent past the pad, if it works i will post pics when then let me. :D

I was just throwing that out because i know it conducts well as in copper bottom pots and pans and wiring. Then i remembered as a teen in refrigeration class we would make pipes out of copper fittings of all shapes and sizes for the other kind of leaf if you know what I mean. It was like inhaling poison toxin. Forget i even mentioned it at all I wasn't thinking what happened 30 years ago doing that in school.

Still i think gold would work if shaped properly and not get squished while it's being screwed down. Think I'll melt down one of my wife's rings. Nah she would kill me lol.

I bought a DSE103 battery from company A and a battery from company B. I had the right idea, but used the fry the battery with a little chunk of paper clip mod with very poor results! But absolutely brilliant and something I know a friend of mine will benefit from now and I'll benefit in the future!

I tried and failed to use this mod on a TW atomizer on a Janty V3 Stick. Of course, my tool set is limited. I'm using the tiny staples that you get in the tiny stapler in my hotel room, the tiny pair of scissors that are in the draw, a paperclip, and my fingernails, which are too long because I forgot to bring nail trimmers on this trip. I managed to create the little v shaped construction required, but am not sure how big it is. It fit in the hole and I don't think it extended outside the post diameter.

The stick just flashes blue three times when I push the button.

Ah well, worth a shot I guess. I think I killed the atty when I was trying to pull the center pole up a bit. It pulled out completely. Good thing I'm carrying spares. May try again sometime.
