Hi everybody,I seem to b having a problem with my ego vision stardust I've had it for about 2weeks now and now I'm noticing liquid dripping down into my battery.I'm careful when filling not to pour juice down the centre tube its when I'm vaping that the liquid seems to leak...has anyone else had this problem? If. So can anyone suggest something that might help....thanks in advance.....

The Mrs. just had this problem on one of hers, that I could not reproduce. We actually came to the conclusion, based on the amount of vapor she gets vs. me (I get more), that she wasn't dragging hard enough on it. We believe that what was happening is the vapor was being produced, but not being drawn completely out of the chamber, therefore dripping down on onto the battery connection from the vape chamber. This is just a theory.
I so hear you! This is happening with both SD's I have. Driving me crazy trying to figure out what is going on. Same thing - I'm super careful when filling, don't overfill, don't over-tilt ... doesn't happen all the time but more often than not. Just cannot figure it out. And I drag on them pretty hard so don't think that is the problem. Actually I was wondering if I was dragging TOO hard and somehow pulling juice up that would then leak back down the metal tube. I just don't know ... it's a big mystery and, much as I love them, I'm seriously considering ditching them and finding something else.
Think I might have a theory. I have this problem too, usually when I am over half done a tank. In my situation, I think I am getting condensation. I've used the vision grande on my lava tube, and kept it upright 100% of the time. If you're not familiar with the grande, there is a silicone plug, with a hole in the middle to let vapor through. If the unit is kept upright there is no way can get on top of this plug - only condensation. And after a couple ml there is A LOT! I'm thinking this may be what is happening with my stardust also. Except with the sd the only place the condensate can go is the mouth piece, or battery.
What I'm going to try is unscrew the mouth piece occasionally to let the condensate back into the tank. Its worth a shot!

Ok so I just tried what I mentioned above. I've vaped about .5ml. I tilted my lavatube a little so if there was anything in the mouth piece it would go back in the tank. About what you would get from 1 drop out of a bottle went back in the tank! Maybe this will help everybody?
I've had this problem intermitently, and I haven't worked out what the cause is yet.

In general tho if I get a little moisture on the battery I tend to take the cart off and swing it from above my head towards the ground in an arc. This gets any other liquid out.

Since I started doing this I have yet to get any juice in my mouth!
One thing I have found now that the weather is getting warm is if I fill up my stardust and go out to the hot car I will get some leakage onto my battery. Not sure if this is a pressure change from the heat or what. Doesn't do it all the time but kind of annoying!!
On a side note, I have some long wick sd's and will have some 2.0's soon!

I am having the same issue with one of mine, and I am not sure if it is because my juice is too thin so possibly it is wicking up and just dripping down when not in use. That's my only though. I might mix some thicker juice in and see what happens.
i think it might be an issue w/ the white cap covering the top of the head... i had this issue w/ the stardust a lot, so i think i might just stick w/ my mini vivi nova.
i have been finding that about a drop of e-juice would be on the battery threads w/ my stardust after taking one drag, so I think that is too much to be condensation.

yea, and i just reproduced the results from shaking the whole thing without taking a drag, so that means extra juice is just leaking into the center pole

Its just a design flaw.. they aren't sealed off completely so at some point it will happen to an extent. Thickness of liquid can effect this too. When it happens, I blow thru the mouth piece out the battery end into a tissue, twist the tissue & dry the battery end, give it a good couple draws to tidy it up, then ur good to go. Also, very important, after filling these things even if u didn't get juice IN the center post, 95% chance u got some on top of the rubber seal around the center post, always wipe that off after filling BEFORE screwing on the mouth piece.
Stardusts are a simple plug & play clearo that do require cleaning from time to time. As long as you do what I just said, the leaking should be minimal. Hope this helps.

I have an answer to my leak. The first leak was operator error, the o ring had become dislodged. This leak is different, I have ensured the o ring is in place and the leak is actually coming from where the metal and the plastic are fused together above where the unit screws into the battery. It is a very, very tiny leak, and oozes slowly. Left overnight, it will leak quite a bit.
I have looked very closely and see no cracks or obvious problems. I think it is just a problem with plastic and metal joining.
Can anyone else replicate this with theirs?

Im having a very similar issue with my Ego Ce4/Stardust. It seems to pool up in my ego thread adapter, even if If its unvaped. 2-3x a day I have to unscrew it and clean out the excess liquid, scared it may drip into my battery. It seems to be coming from the center post, not the oring seal, but the center of the tube. Perhaps I should just get a Vivi.
Beginning to wonder if I just dont have enough airflow... I am going to swap off my stainless tip for the stock tip and see if things improve. Maybe its condensation from the stainless mouthpiece and isnt airflow issues?

As for leaking past the orings, have you tried disassembly and wiping the tube clean with some alcohol or something? Perhaps a thin film of juice in your case is preventing the orings from sealing?

4.3v on the 2.0ohm Stardust is way to hot, I'm sure that's why you're leaking. These clearomizers can't handle the voltage the way cartos & attys can. If I were you, I wouldn't go any higher than 4.0v, and if u must then don't use a stardust.
Well keep in mind unit I am using it on is a PWM device, so while not 100% accurate on voltage readings, it does provide pulses instead of straight power, allowing small peaks of rest during firing. All seems to be working well otherwise. Once the Ego connector gets fluid it seems to stop leaking. Keep in mind devices are diff, so your millage may vary.
A side note... I notice alot less slurping noise once i switched back to the stock mouthpiece. I will update in another day or so after more usage before I confirm my observation of the stainless mouthpiece dripping condensation back down the air feed tube.

Well after a few days of use, the stainless tip did indeed cause more condensation to back feed into the air tube. I am still getting leaks from the center of the positive connector. Last nite I threw the atomizer on a ego battery. Did not use it once. Woke up this morning and the ego connector was flooded...
Both of my stardusts leak, too.
Which stinks, because I prefer them for the flavor taste, they just give a better taste then the mini nova does, but Oh well, I don't like the leaking.
