I just ordered a Yeti/510 kit from electronicstix.com, but I didn't get any juice. It comes with 5 prefilled cartridges. About how long will these last? I get around 10 puffs off an analog cig. Also if i vape a cartridge dry will I damage the cart or more importantly the atomizer? Do you guys think I should start using the kit right away when I get it or should I wait and order some juice so I can drip/top off the carts?

Thanks

If your quitting analogs... wait for the juice. If your vaping just to vape... have at it.

I got a DSE 901 and quit for a week... then my atomizer died. While waiting for a spare... back on the analogs which was very disappointing because I felt so good about quitting. Switched to an EVO w/plenty of liquid and spare parts... cigarette free w/no worries.

Get that juice ordered..

Vaping glycerin and flavourings is fine but no good as an initial substitute for cigarettes.

The 510 is a thirsty e-cig, it likes moist filling, and you can damage the cart and atomiser by vaping dry carts.

Be aware vaping isnt going to be like smoking. Most of us find we enjoy it a lot more and do it more consistently that we would with the old cigarette.

I would say that a cart on the 510 would probably equal about 5 cigarettes, but you will waste a bit when priming the atomiser, which is when you use a new atomiser for the first time, the factory add a liquid to the atomiser to keep it damp, this stuff tastes horrid, and we usually use 'primer puffs' (drawing without inhaling) to burn it off.

Also as Sleep Hater suggests, get spare parts ordered, atomiser and battery ( manual type is best ) a passthough is also a good idea, so you can connect your 510 to your USB port and use the power of the computer to vape.

Enjoy ...

Okay, so I think I am going to order some juice through eastmall. I see they have five 20ml bottles for $50 + 2 free so that sounds like a good deal and I have read some posts that their juice is good.

As far as spare parts go, my 510/Yeti kit comes with 2 atomizers and 2 manual batteries. I am a light smoker so I'm thinking I can get at least a month out of those.

If you're looking to get some juice in a hurry, buy some from a US supplier. I'm at 2 weeks now on my Eastmall order, still waiting... (Should be here tomorrow though). I've ordered juice from Totally Wicked and Freshsmoking.com and received within 2 days of the order.

As far as your supplied 2 attys and 2 batteries, you may be ok, depends on if you get good ones in the kit. Atomizers (from what I've read) can be finicky, sometimes only lasting a week or two, and other times lasting months.... I definitely vape a LOT more than I smoked, so even if you are a light smoker, you find yourself enjoying vaping, you might find yourself doing it quite a bit more. It's a totally different experience, and much more enjoyable than smoking analogs... IMO So having spare parts is definitely a good thing. I think I would go crazy if I didn't have access to a PV, don't know if I would go back to analogs though...

I've ordered from East Mall twice and each time it took exactly 10 days. I think their KENT flavor is the best/smoothes tobacco flavor I have tried.

Place an order at EastMall--very reputable and very reasonable prices.

But also place an order with a U.S. supplier for a bottle or two so that you can start topping off within the next few days. Off the top of my head, I know that www.dietsmokes.com is located in your fair state, and Parker tends to ship very quickly. :)
