Hi,

I'm brand new to all of this and I'm having a really hard time with it. I watched MistressNomad's videos and I've been researching for a really long time. I bought a Joye510 starter kit with cartomizers, 5 prefilled and 5 with no juice. The prefilled ones worked fine, but when it was time to refill them, I followed MisstressNomad's advice about popping off the little white caps and putting drops directly into it. I had no luck with any of the cartomizers after that.

I then tried to fill them the another way... putting one drip in at a time through the hole with the screw. I think I might have not dried them completely, because now my batteries only last a few puffs before they start to blink again. The carts I had left (that I filled this way) worked for a few puffs and then started to burn.

To top it all off, my friend bought a kit with attys and I went to try one of them and my battery burned the cartridge. You can literally see a burn in the wick(?) of the cartridge. I'm almost positive I put them on correctly.

Whats going on? Could me not drying the cart have ruined the battery, causing it to way overheat or something and burn the cartridge of the atomizer?

Thanks everybody. I realize you guys probably get things like this a lot but I've watched a ton of youtube videos and have been reading this forum for awhile and I'm still not confident with this at all.

It's a bit of trial and error when first starting. I did tons of research as well when I started, looking back after only a couple months I think I'm lucky I didn't end up in the hospital with the amount of nic juice I got on my skin and in my mouth the first couple of weeks.

I find the condom method is the easiest way for me to refill cartos. The plastic sleeves that they come in can be used to refill them by filling the sleeve about half-way up with juice and then pushing the carto slowly down, battery connector side first and the juice will go into the carto. Then remove it from the sleeve, wipe off the connection end and blow through the carto so that when held up to the light you can see through it.

If you are having problems with your batteries I would recommend wiping the connections thoroughly with a paper towel and making sure you clean the connector on your charger as well. If all your batteries are doing it, I'm guessing it's the charger and a simple cleaning of the connections might solve your problem.

As far as burning cartridge, it happens. The best thing to do is to shave off a bit of the cartridge with a razor when you get them. It happens though.
