About 3 months ago I began a complete overhaul of my life. Started a exercise regime, reading about nutrition, and focused on things that were beneficial to me rather than drinking all the time and other wasteful activities that just brought me down as a person.

Things have been going great, except for one thing. I still smoked and found it impossible to stop. I work in the trades and around people who are lighting up all the time, and it was just a natural thing for me to smoke often throughout the day. This was really affecting my workouts and I needed a way out. Also I have been a habitual smoker since I was 16 and started really thinking how this habit could affect my health in the long run. It got me very paranoid to the point where I would blur out the warning info/pics on my cig packs with permanent marker to avoid seeing them and freaking myself out. Not to mention that they are running a really really messed up anti smoking ad featuring a lady with her throat cut out in my area that also got me thinking about quitting as soon as possible.

So I began researching. I had tried a crappy mall model e cig before and found it wasn't up to par. Then I found a local store that got me started with a basic Ego Twist kit, which has really helped me stop this awful habit. 3 weeks so far and smoke free! I am enjoying breathing easier, smelling better, and there is nothing more relaxing after a workout than having a good vape and messing around with my guitar in the evenings.

I look forward to reading up more, Thanks!

PS : Sorry for the essay.

How is it that with all the anti electronic cigarette info pushed upon the public these days, new people...like yourself...greet us each and every day?

ANSWER: Because e-cigs prove themselves to be effective alternatives to smoking.

Period.

Welcome! Loved the "essay". Hope you'll continue to enjoy the benefits of vaping for years to come.

Don't be sorry.

The "essay" is a datum (and yours was very well stated) that supports the weight of reality we're all trying force the anti-vaping types to see.

When we put forth a story of this type, they call it an "anecdote." When they do the same, they call it a "case history."

Be that as it may, everyone who picks up a PV, dropping the cigarette they were smoking, makes the world an incrementally better place.

You will soon see the change the switch to vaping makes in your life and health. From things like no more freaking out because you can't find a lighter and/or needing to make it to the closest place to buy cigs before they close to breathing better and not smelling like stale smoke. It is truly amazing. Glad you are here and congrats on working toward a better, healthier lifestyle.

Welcome to the "club". And as Tom Petty says, "Don't Back Down" ;)

So happy to read that you've started making some very POSITIVE changes in your life - you won't regret them. Stay the course. Ask, ask, ask, ask any questions that you might have - someone's probably already been through what you're experiencing.

That's awesome. One of the reasons I wanted to get on board with vapeing as opposed to cigs was because my cardio is garbage and the smoking certainly wasn't helping. Keep pushing forward and be the person you want to be.

Go with it, Dipstick.

Once upon a time, I used to recover from an hour-long cardio routine at a gym by smoking a Victory cigarette. I got looks, but I understood the contradiction.

Today I do the same, but I top it with a Victory Vape. Anyone who looks--out of ignorance or media misinformation--can bloody well educate themselves or $&#% themselves.
