So, I've got a couple of eGo 650's and I started with the ce4 clearo and I liked it for the "fill it and forget it" aspect, but I found the flavor lacking. I've been using a stainless carto today with a drip tip and I'm loving it! Better throat hit and flavor. I'm wondering, do the carto tanks outperfom wicked clearo's? I'm sure this is a VERY subjective question, but I'm curious about the opinions. I'm a new vaper and just looking to maximize my experience....with the existing battery setup.

Don't worry...I expect that Tax refund 3rd week of February and you bet I'm getting a VV mod!

Ok, so, clearo's vs. carto's...should I get a carto tank, just some XL carto's?

carto tanks all the way. i currently have 6 tanks from ibtanked.com and they are absolutly amazing. They also sell pre punched cartos to use in the tanks. I also have clearos(kangers) for when i dont want to risk breaking the tanks(the tanks are glass(pyrex)). The benefits of having glass tanks over plastic is that glass will not crack or break like plastic tanks with certain juices(cinnamon, citrus, and menthol). The flavor, and vapor production are better on a carto with or without a tank, the tank doesnt affect anything really, it is just a means to auto refill, and they look nice. But with a nice glass tank you are trading for the durability of a clearo, have some tanks for at home use and stick with clearos for out and about unless your really careful.

It's totally subjective. I have pyrex tanks and several different kinds of cartos and I just don't like the flavor at all. I prefer clearos. There isn't a right or wrong answer. It's just whichever you like better.

If you cant tell the difference, stick with the clearos just out of sheer convenience. i use both and when im using my clearos i miss my cartotanks. but i've had a few cartotanks come apart in my pocket and have broken a few by short drops lol, so im forced to use clearos if i need to keep the device in my pocket. Once you start using cartos, well for me anyway, clearos feel like a big step backwords. :(

I'm the opposite ha ha. I started with clearos, but kept hearing how wonderful cartos are, so I bought a bunch of boges and some Phiniacs and tried it. I really gave it an honest try, but I could always taste the filler and even when I could see the slushy on the top of the filler, I would get dry hits. And I just couldn't taste my juice. So I went back to clearos and I love them. So much more flavor for me and so much easier. That doesn't mean I won't try every new delivery system that comes along because I like gadgets, but so far, clearos work best for me. :)

I still don't understand the whole taste the filler thing, it's not burning, there's nothing to taste. All I taste is the flavor of the juice, never really gotten a dry hit also, maybe your not filling it correctly? Dunno...

You can prime cartos too for a flavor boost. May as well get Pyrex so you don't have to worry about some juices fogging or cracking tank. I recommend the metal type caps too and not a wide type. Just normal. Most f them are normal. My XL cartos and tanks work best most the time. Be sure to check if you'll need flanged or unflanged carto for your tank. TheEcig has a long slow video worth watching for new to tanks people. I still have his 6ml slim and the V2 drip tips are the best fitting. They have a longer neck

The main reason I went back to carto tanks is that I HATE dry hits!

I think it's a matter of personal taste too. I started with clearos, but bought 2 carto tanks because of all the rave reviews on the board. I didn't care for them at all. i didn't really get any more burnt hits from them, but they did change the flavor of my juices for me, and not for the better ... To me, it was like vaping unflavored juice :-(

I even had the good folks at the local shop give me a how to fill rundown to be sure I was doing it right because I thought it was me doing something wrong. But it turns out, they just aren't for me personally.

Dripping gives me the purest flavor, but for daily use I stick to my Novas and Kangers. My cartos are still around, maybe one day in a pinch, or if I buy an incredibly strong juice ... But I'm a clearo person.

I say try them both, vape with the one you like the best. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer :)
