Hi ECF, I am completely new. Started vaping about a month ago and have been enjoying it alot. It has helped me significantly cut down on cigarettes. I started using disposable Logic Ecigs and blu and now am using Halo G-6 cigs. I love the taste of their e-liquids and am thoroughly impressed with the design of their ecigs.

I wish to upgrade from ecigs to, i think they are called personal vapes? I have my eye on the eGo vape or the Atmos vape, although there are so many different types that I cant seem to wrap my brain around which one to get. I am planning on vaping e-liquids mainly but I see there are some for wax and I have no idea what the difference is if someone could please explain this to me that woudl be great.

I am thinking of going with the Halo Triton just because i have the Halo g6 already and i figure itll be the easiest but I am open to any suggestions and info.

Thanks for reading!
Tom.Tom.

I haven't used the Halo devices/liquid, but I've only heard good things about them and their liquid. The only problem I see is that your locked into using their hardware, whereas the other eGo and MOD devices are much more interchangeable with liquid tanks/cartomizers/clearomizers, etc. Most hardware uses a 510 threaded connection, and there are a lot that use both and eGo threaded connection AND the 510. There are a TON of hardware options available if you don't lock yourself into the Halo system. That said, I'd probably look into an EGO-C Twist, Vision Spinner, or Smoktech Winder setup. Those are all eGo style variable voltage devices. Variable voltage is used to get the right vapor for your liquid depending on the heating coil by adjusting the power output of the battery. MyVaporStore and MadVapes have good deals on eGO variable voltage kits, in vision spinner/ego-c twist and Smoktech Winder batteries respectively. If budget is an issue, many people here shop on fasttech.com and order directly from China for their prices - even though it generally takes 8-14 days for their stuff to arrive.

I'm not sure what this "wax" is that your referring to, but it doesn't sound like I'd inhale it. I'd stick with the liquid...

The Halo Triton is a fantastic ego-style kit, and the G6 cartomizers and mini-tanks fit and work. You cannot use the G6 charger with the Triton batteries, however, but the starter kit comes with everything that you need, unless you wish to try out variable voltage with the Triton Twist.

The Triton has continued performing strong well into the 4th month of use, and I have not had a single issue with either the batteries, charger or Triton T2-style tanks. I have also used the G6 mini-tanks with them for sampling new juice flavors.

Halo designs their kits to work great with their own juices, yet other vendors juice performs as well, if not better, than Halo's with the Triton Tank kit. I've even enjoyed some of my Naturally Extracted Tobacco juices from Heather's Heavenly Vapes and Goodejuice in the Tritons.

4 months of constant use, the Tritons fit well in a shirt or pants pockets and travel well. These are my work PVs. It's a great investment.

I credit Halo to my success in quitting smoking. I've been vaping for 8 months and have tried eliquid from countless vendors and always go right back to Halo. I've moved on from my G6 kit to big battery mods but still use my G6 when I want to be discreet. I've heard nothing but good things about the Triton kits. Even though I love Halo and their products, I think a simple ego c twist will perform just as well. It's more versatile and is compatible with nearly every type of atomizer or cartomizer out there. Just a bit of advice but Halo runs promotions pretty often so take advantage of sales. Their eliquid is on the expensive side but with a 20% off sale you can really get a deal. I place a monthly order with them.

I'm a newb myself and not familiar with all the variations of ego-style batts, but my only suggestion is to start out with a spinner or twist type. With all the different resistance attys, tanks, cartos, etc: variable voltage is, IMO, a must have. Started out with a 650 mAh kanger evod starter kit and, less than 2 weeks later, am waiting on my vamo v3 in the mail. Wish I would've done more research and started out with VV. Just my 0.02, FWIW.

Tom.tom., I own 2 Atmos batteries that I purchased prior to findng ECF. They are a basic ego style battery, supposedly made in the U.S., and come with a 1 year (!!) warranty. They work fine, but the impression I get is that they were designed, in part, for vaping, ahem, "other" materials (that can't be mentioned here).
I totally agree with TastyKakes, cut to the chase and get a Vision Spinner, or the Altsmoke spinner. It will allow you to use a wider range of cartos or clearomizer by simply adjusting the voltage. It's REALLY easy to do, I promise!
Good luck to you, and enjoy!

I bought a Halo G6 about a month ago. I have bought two packs of cigarettes since then just for two weekends when I would be partying pretty heavy and knew I would want the real thing. I am actually starting to get sick of the real cigarette smell and taste. Give me my Tribeca juice! I am just now starting to realize there is a huge world of customization in the vaping world and it is quite intimidating. I guess I will have to start reading up on the topic. I am not ready to throw away my big Halo G6 investment just yet.

Good to hear Cosmic, are you using automatic or manual? I ordered one of each but find myself liking the manual one alot more and kinda hating the automatic.

I got one of each also, and I too am preferring the manual...it seems like I can get a better vape. Although sometimes its nice to use the automatic and not have to worry about pressing a button, if my hands are full with other things

My 900 mAh Triton should be here tomorrow, and I just got some new juices from Backwoods Brew today - so I am looking forward to some higher quality vaping in the near future! :)

I started with Green Smoke. I can't say enough good about their products. The next day I ordered an Ego-C Twist 1000 Mah and Vivi Nova tank kit. It arrives tomorrow. Can't wait to try that out. For a simple, easy to use e-cig. Green Smoke has to be one of the best.....however, I want to try what the big boys are doing. My Freedom Smokes seems to have a LOT of e-juice and some good deals. They have more flavors than anywhere I have looked so far.

Sometimes a vaping forum is a very frustrating place. I don't know a great deal about Halo, but I am assuming they are almost the same as a UK vendor that supplies "self-branded" 808 kit.

I have been there and done that. IF someone had told me trying to expand my collection from this base point was going to be so difficult, I would certainly never have bought from this vendor.

Halo get a lot of love.... maybe they are simply the starting and ending point in most people's vaping career, and that is sincerely brilliant.

However, if I was starting all over again, I'd have kept my $100 and gone in where I am now with 510 and eGo equipment.

I agree, and I haven't even received my eGo and tank stuff yet, but the green smokes have stopped me from smoking real cigs for 2 days now. I am completely satisfied with them. I am just thinking long term. I could probably use green smokes forever if I wanted to spend a lot of money. I think it will be cheaper and slightly better vapor going with the big toys.
