Starter- Need help with Ego choices

Hi,
I have just started with a cheap disposable kit. I didn't enjoy the experience & want to upgrade . Options in India are very limited. There are only a couple of vendors selling various joyetech Ego models. I was looking at ego-c & ego-t starter kits. Vendor suggested that I go with the new ego-t 2 kit as compared to new ego-c upgrade kit as the new ego-t batteries have voltage variation. He also offered a choice to replace ego-t/c atomizer with Kanger T2/T3 Clearomizer in the starter kit.

As far as pricing goes, ecab kit is the cheapest ($64), eroll & ego-t2 - $78 & ego-c upgrade - $92.

He also suggested that I can experiment with a single battery & clearomizer to see how it goes with me. I need your suggestions as to which of these models would be appropriate for me.

Save yourself the pain of having to purchase another device later. Purchase it now. I recommend that you look into one of these devices instead:

1. Vision Spinner
2. eGo-C Twist

Hi Route and welcome to ECF.

I would definitely go with variable voltage eGos, however, there seems to be some confusion wrt terminology. Ego T batteries are not vv; they came with eGo-T (tankomizer) kits. The vv batteries are called eGo-C Twist. Please make sure you get the correct one.

I like and use T2 (top coil) and T3 (bottom coil) clearomizers--very nice choice!

I can't speak for the standard eGo-T's, as I have not owned one - but I do have an Ego-C Upgrade and I love it! It's a 650Mah battery - and last me pretty much all day, charge it every night though. I got a Kanger MT-3 Clearomizer on it, and once I sorted out the leaking issue - it is awesome.(You just need to add a small piece of wick to it, very easy to do.)

My other unit is a Ego-T 18650 MOD unit (2600Mah), and lasts very long. I got it for about $30 (Battery & 510 to Ego adapter only). Also an option if you are looking for a battery that lasts.

Both aren't VV, but they are Dual-Voltage, you can switch between 3.3V and 4.2V . As far as I know, the only eGo's that are VV are the eGo-C Twist and the eVic.

I'm also fairly new - started vaping 2 weeks ago, but my 2cents worth.

Some things to keep in mind

1. Don't use low resistant carto's, atty's or whatever when you are setting it to higher voltages (may shorten life of carto or "gasp" worse ie:ruin battery
B. when you are vaping at higher volts it will run your battery down quicker - to quote jfalbanese "back-ups for your back-ups"
3. Enjoy experimenting with what vapes best for you

eGo-V v2 MEGA VV Pass Through.
Right there is a great entry level variable voltage mod it had a led display so you can see what voltage you are set at unlike the reostat on an ego c-twist this mod is a passthrough also so you can still vape while charging and with the 1200 mah battery you have an extremely long battery life this mod will be great for someone just getting into vaping and will keep somebody who has been vaping for a while happy.

Sorry for the confusion regarding the 'ego-t2 uprade' variable voltage remark though I still have some queries in this regard. While browsing through this forum I read a post which stated the following differences between ego-t2 & ego-c2 upgrade batteries -
1. Ego-c2 has slightly better short circuit protection
2. Ego-c2 has led light indicating battery status

I also read that both batteries have dual mode - constant voltage & variable voltage output. Quoting details from heaven-gifts :-

The biggest improvement of eGo-T 2 upgrade battery: it has two modes to switch. One is the constant voltage output mode which gives constant 3.3V(when it's driving the atomizer (load added)) and is the same as the normal eGo-T battery. The other is variable voltage output mode, in this mode, the voltage will change from 4.15V to 3.6V as the lithium battery power decrease. With higher voltage up to 4.15V, this give you a better vapor feeling.

How does this mode on ego-t2 differs from the one on ego-c2 upgrade battery ?

I have send a mail to the vendor regarding ego-c twist availability as the kit was not listed. eGo-V v2 MEGA VV Pass Through is a good choice but it isn't available in my country. Choice is limited to ecab, eroll, ego-c, ego-t, eVic & iTaste VV Tank starter kit (INNOKIN)

How does this mode on ego-t2 differs from the one on ego-c2 upgrade battery ?

The eGo- C fires at 3.3 volts.
The eGo- C Upgrade has two settings/ modes:
One mode is the constant voltage output mode at 3.3v, same as eGo C battery.
The other mode is variable voltage mode, which works from 3.6v to 4.15v. In this mode the battery begins at high voltage but goes down as the battery drains.

Glad to hear you are giving up tobacco for ecigs. Good choice.

If a Joyetech Ego C TWIST or a Vision SPINNER is available to you I'd advise you to purchase two. One to use and another as a backup if the first one gets low on battery life and needs a recharge. Higher Mah rating on the battery= more battery life before needing a recharge

You will need a 420 maH USB to wall battery charger for these.

Good choices for juice delivery system (clearomizer, tank) for a new vaper? Vision Vivi Nova, Kanger T2, Kanger T3, Kanger EVOD

Kanger T2 and Vision Vivi Nova are top coiled clearos. Atomizer is on upper end of clearo, near the mouthpiece. This type gives a warmer vape. Chainvaping can get the lip hot.

Kanger t3, Kanger evods, Kanger Pro Tanks? these are bottom coiled attys, a cooler vape. Less "dry hits", I prefer a bottom coil myself.

A "dry hit" happens when the wick inside the clearo doesn't have enough eliquid on it to make vapor.

Hi there!

I'm pretty new, too - I've only been vaping for a couple of months. I may upgrade to an eGo-C later, but for now I'm just using plain old ego batteries.

I get the Superior Ego batteries from Apollo, because they're inexpensive and Apollo has a good warranty on their batteries, which I've had to use a couple of times.

If I may make a recommendation, it would be to get 3 or 4 batteries - I started off with two, and it was a cold feeling when one of them stopped working properly. Now I'm up to four, and am more confident that I can handle a battery crisis.

I use a Kanger T2, and I have a couple of them - they're inexpensive to purchase, and although I clean & reuse the coils, I appreciate that the 5-pack of coils is inexpensive, as well. If I may make another recommendation, it would be to stock up on refill coils, because again, it's a bad feeling to be down to one coil and a week away from your order arriving in the mail.

I wish I had more technical advice to give, and as I said, I'll probably upgrade, but I'm on a pretty tight budget - it's supposed to be saving me money, so I'm sticking to my guns on purchasing.

If money's not an object for you, then there's some beautiful Provari's out there, which has a huge fan base, and my dream tank is one of the pretty glass ones from Phiniac. I'll have to wait on that, though, because it's way out of my pay grade right now.

I used almost all Joyetech products: eroll, ecab, ego-t, ego-c, twist.
All are good, but eroll and ecab are for those, who smoked before not more then 5-10 cig/day.
Ego-T/C do not allow to change the voltage.
if you need smth small, take 2 x ego twist and pack of Kanger T2/T3. It's cheap, small enough, you can adjust the voltage according to your needs, Kanger clearomizers are good, you can change the wick by yourself

This will be my first experience and I just dropped a LOT of dough to get started. Can't seem to find any info on this particular model. The Voltage doesn't seem to vary, but I just wanna vape. Can't wait!
