Hi everyone,

Newbie here. Please can somebody shed some light on what model of e cig I have. I got it from the Miniciggy website for £19.99. The little booklet that comes with it says it is a S808D, however, on googling this I have read that this is disposable? I heard somewhere else that it is a DSE901? I am totally confused.

Also, I have a feeling the cartridges I have may be too high in nicotine after reading a 'sticky' in a thread about what nicotine level you should get. I use to smoke between 10-20 cigs a day but after having my son 5 years ago that went down to about 2-5 cigs a day which could escalate to up to 30 on a night out (perhaps once/twice a month).

I am really intrigued by the different flavours of e-liquid. How do I go about using this liquid within the package I have bought? Can I refil the brown ends (and are these called cartridges or atomisers??!) and if so, how do I do that or do I have to buy empty ones and fil those, hence me needing to know my model.

I am awaiting a new white part (is this the battery?) as after my first usage on sat night my dog found it and ate it .

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums!

I quickly perused the site, but didn't see any of the carto model numbers listed. Personally, I would steer clear of any more interactions with that website. They really give a lot of mis-information. I can assure you 10 carto's don't equal "hundreds of cigarettes."

If I were you, assuming you could afford it, I would view the forums here and then select a mod that a lot of people find to be tried and true. I used the VaporNine Nebula. After my first vape, I never touched a cig again. I also see/hear a lot of good things about the Joye e-cigs.

I smoked pretty much the same as you and I quit smoking using 18mg nicotine.

I am not sure what kind your PV is but I agree with Major Rocker in not spending any more money on that site. Instead, do as much research as you can on these forums and then get a PV that is compatible with 510's, KR808D-1 or DSE901. I cannot recommend any suppliers in the UK. I get most of my supplies from Liberty Flights in the US. They do have a UK site: liberty-flights.uk.com

Thanks for your replies. I have actually emailed the company directly asking for the make, model and if they do different flavoured cartridges or if I can refill them with e-liquids. They have been very speedy in their reply. The e-cig is their own composition (although it looks very similar to a couple I have seen on research). They made comment that they do not deem e-liquids to be appropriate as there could be potential for an accident, particularly with young children. When I asked about different flavours they said that tobacconists are not permitted to add flavours which might be attractive to children but can provide menthol and zero nicotine cartridges too.

I am still intrigued in the different flavours so at some point may purchase another down the line for a bit of variation but on the other hand I can see their reasonings as to why they don't provide different flavours, and also maybe why they are reluctant to admit what cartridges could be compatible in order to refill with e-liquid.

I have been pleased with their customer service though even if I didn't necessarily get the answers I wanted :(

Chances are you have a generic model built in China and relabeled. This is not unusual in the slightest. hopefully it will last long enough for you to get your money back out of it. I measure it by how many cigarettes I would have smoked. If it keeps you from buying 4 packs well at least you broke even. IF/when the battery finally goes bad just look for a better brand based on what you read here. Models made to be manually refilled are where you will save the most amount of money but I can see where you may not want the hassle considering how few cigarettes you smoke by comparison.

Sorry, should have said because tobacconists don't provide the different flavours then neither do they. I remember when you could get cherry/choc/coffee flavoured tobacco though, is that not the case anymore?

You can always add some fruit flavors to tobacco e-juice to complement them or you can mix your own e-juiced. If your PV uses cartridges you can definitely refill them with your own juice. And since nicotine is very toxic if ingested, e-juice should be kept away from children, preferably in child-proof containers.

It is an S-808D, type 1 (standard polarity).

It is excellent and the liquid flavor also excellent (though I disliked it the first day).

I'm no fan of the company though. Often a hassle but you get the stuff in the end.

However, the e-cig itself is very good. Plus every carto worked and the liquid flavor really grew on me - great hit and vapor, plus great taste. You'll need a second kit or second battery to get through the day (although the batt does last a good few hours).
