I have a SS King mod and as many of you know it's $230. I've had it for 2 months now and it never really functioned as well as the reviews I see online. I have been in contact with Surefire Vapor about the problem but they are really slow. They told me that my mod is affected by a "faulty spring". Can any vets and experts on mech mods confirm this? I have tried switching springs with the King clone and the clone still works like a charm but the authentic king still wont perform. Judging from what i know, as long as the contact pins touch the battery it should work. My mod came with copper contact pins and I have tried cleaning it.
I'm not a pro but I'm sure any mech mods with a bottom firing button works the same way. Can anyone confirm if the spring is actually causing the problem or would it be faulty contact pins?
This is getting really frustrating, not only because the mod cost $230, but the fact that the clone works so much better and its 10 times cheaper.
Right now I have a $100 plus atomizer sitting on a $20 dollar clone mod and it's silly. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have they sent you out a new "non defective" spring?
It could be that you need a certain tension, stiffness, whatever.

I'm not an expert, or a vendor... but if they say the spring is faulty, then shouldn't they get you a replacement?

They told me that they ordered the new springs and they will be on the way to them soon. But I mean I have tried switching my spring to the clone and the clones to the authentic, it still doesn't work while the clone works fine with the real "faulty spring". And I'm not sure how the spring affects it but I thought as long as the contact pin touches the battery then it should work.
