Need help with getting copper pin off and more

I have a Surefire King and have been trying to separate the firing button and the copper contact pin but it just won't budge. I tried to clamp the pin and twist it off but there just isn't enough grip for my big hands to hold on to the firing button. Another thing that won't budge is the air flow adjustment nut up top. No matter how hard I twist it it just won't turn.

Any input is appreciated!!

Im curious on the science behind this method? Is it so the metal will change size in the cold?

If the firing button is steel and the copper contact pin is press fit into it the copper will shrink faster than the steel when you cool them both down.
