Hi @Bigolac. I wouldn't recommend going to a sub ohm tank to someone just starting out. I'd suggest the Aspire Nautilus Min/Full size. The Atlantis is a lung hitter tank. The Nautilus will be much closer to smoking a cig and mouth to lung draws.
You will need replacement coils for whatever tank you get unless you plan on rebuilding them and then I would suggest a Kuro Koiler jig. (check you tube)
Are you currently a smoker? The proper nicotine content for each tank will be different.
I would suggest the proper charger for the iStick 50W, it has had some issues. I have 2 of the 50W and love them, not an issue.

Very much appreciated - any other advice would be welcomed.
How much do you smoke? (I'm guessing you might) It will help in determining the nicotine content of the juice you'll use. Also, if you are trying to quit cigs, (and vape worked for me) you should know about possible side effects of quitting (possible because I didn't have any, as most don't)

Thanks - I haven't smoked cigarettes for 11 years after the birth of my second child, but for the past six months I've been slowly inching my way into cigars, which I would like to eliminate..... hopefully this will curb my craving into something that isn't as detrimental to my health....
I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the istick 50w with the aspire nautilus - it sounds like a decent quality pairing that will last for a good while.
I realize this is a huge can of worms with a million different answers, but I'm looking for liquid with no nicotine with a menthol/wintergreen flavor - maybe even a bubble gum flavor as well - what are some recommendations for a good quality liquid? I'm not sure about what the vg/pg designations mean, but would appreciate some advice - is there a short, concise jargon dictionary I could use to decipher what everything means?

Vape can do it. I'd recommend a trip to a local vape shop to try flavors. They will try and sell you equipment, it's what they do. I've found you can save a lot of money from buying online, some of the vape shops are really high priced. I'd suggest starting at 6mg nicotine, possibly 12. I've never been much of a cigar smoker but the basics are the same. Good luck in your journey. You'll love the vape.
There used to be a list of definitions, don't know where it is, I'll look for it. There is a keyword activated search box in the upper right corner of the page above your name and avatar. You can plug any vape word in it and get thousands of results. Don't be shy about asking in here. Someone is always around to help, and the question you ask could help someone who won't ask.
VG is vegetable glycerin.. 1/2 of the base for e juice. VG is the vapor producer.
PG is propylene glycol the other 1/2 of the base. PG is known as the flavor carrier
The flavors are all FDA food flavors. and then Nicotine... thats it.
50/50 is a good place to start with juice. 60/40 or 40/60 isn't bad either. I chase flavor so I am more of a 60pg/40vg vape.

PG = Propylene Glycol - the "flavor carrier" of e-liquid. A secondary source of "throat hit", but not as strong as the nicotine concentration. Some people have a sensitivity or even an allergy to PG. It's very thin.
VG = Vegetable Glycerin - the "vapor maker" of e-liquid. Used as a sweeter in many food sources, and also as a skin emollient. It's very thick.
PG and VG are often used together in different ratios in e-liquid. For example, a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. Some juice vendors offer a range of different ratios as far as PG/VG.

A couple things to consider:
I am fine advising new people to go sub-ohm on a regulated device (like the iStick). You get more clouds and flavour which will help make it a more fulfilling experience and help resist the urge to smoke.
One thing to consider though, is that with the Atlantis in particular you need to inhale directly into your lungs. This isn't something tobacco smokers are used to and it's more similar to the inhale you use for dry herbs: you need to expect this and be comfortable inhaling that way.
On the Atlantis in particular, they have a 1.0, 0.5, and 0.3 coil:
I like the Nautilus a lot, it's one of my favourite tanks. I recommend it to a lot of new users but because your device can fire a Subtank well, and the Subtank is superior in nearly every category, I can't recommend it as a #1 choice.
Considering your budget (assuming similar to what you've asked), experience in smoking, and especially the fact that you don't currently smoke but are trying to avoid the urge, my #1 suggest would be an eGo-One starter kit.

- I wouldn't recommend the 1.0 because it doesn't lend itself well to the way you have to use the tank.
- I find the 0.5 coil needs ~47W. This is at the upper limit of the iStick 50W's capability and i'm not fond of pushing things to their limit, your call.

Ok - The subtank you're referring to is the Kanger subtank, correct? I'll look into it - thanks!
They're totally different. The subtank is made to subohm and make vapor regardless of how muted the flavor is. The Atlantis makes a decent cloud, but for flavor you have to up the watts and its a warm hit. The delta 2 is like a combination of both. There is also the Arctic tank that produces great flavor and clouds.
I would stay away from the istick 50. They have been problematic in a bad way. You can get a smok m65 for the price of an istick 50. I would lean more towards a removable battery too, so that you can swap and charge the battery out of the mod. The nitecore d2 charger is 16 bucks on ebay and great. Samsung 25r batteries are 2 for 10 bucks as well. The ipv mini 2 is also a great little mod that supports internal charging and its easy to swap the batteries. They go for 50 or 60 on ebay.
There's also the evic vt starter kit that is a pretty great package. It does temp control to eliminate dry hits, and is really a great starting point right now. It's compact and packed with features that the istick just doesn't have.
There are so many options right now. A lot of people recommend the isticks and subtanks but there are so many better products out there that it's hard to recommend them these days. Maybe 6 months ago, but there's at least a dozen better tanks that have gained popularity, as well as batteries. You can get an ipv4 for 60 bucks now. It's crazy out there.
