I especially need to hear from any old timers out there that knew the flavor of the original 555. I started out in 2009 with Totally Wicked's State Express, so thats the flavor I'm referring to. They no longer carry it and their Statex flavor doesnt cut it. I have been reading about a Highway or Number 5 flavor. Is it similar or is it where the original came from? I have made my own 555 recipe since 2009, and I used State Express at 5ml per 250ml batch to give it the flavor it needs that I dont quite get without it. I talking the flavoring only...not e-liquid with or without nic.

So basically I need to know;
Is there a flavor out there that matches the old stuff?
Who makes it?
Best place to get it?

Thanks rolf....I may have to just order samples from different places to try and find a replacement...not what I was hoping to do though. I know WL has been around for awhile now.

555's are my main vape but I haven't had the MVP's 555 in a very long while since discontinued. For the past several years I've used both the Hangsen highway and NO.5 at 3 - 5% which does the trick for me as far as nutty vapes go. If there not nutty enough for you, you can add AP at 1 - 2% to enhance nuttyness but don't go higher then that. If your looking for an exact clone I can't help you there but try them I think they will do the trick for you. Another one you may want to try is the Hangsen indian. You really can't go wrong with Hangsen flavorings.

Concentrated Flavoring - Brands - Hangsen - Bull City Vapor

Thanks for the advice danny. Hangsen does seem to be the consensus from what I have read. I have a very complex recipe myself which does include AP and Trimethyl Pyrazine at .08%. I will give the Indian a try as well. Right now my tobacco flavor is a blend of Virginia, Burley and TA. One thing I found that also helps is Flavor Arts Peanut. I ordered this before they were even selling in the US. What I got was raw peanut flavor. Evidently we think of peanut flavor as roasted peanuts...over there it is raw...think earthy boiled peanut. I freaked out at first and even called them in Italy thinking I had a bad batch. I added a small amount (also.08%) and dang if it didnt help bring out the nutty flavor. Oh well.

Are you doing the prime clone I posted in the halo forum several years back? I used Trimethyl Pyrazine in that as well as several other individual flavor molecules along the lines of Trimethyl Pyrazine. It give it that nutty as well as mossy texture. AP seems to give it the exact roasted peanut taste found in most 555's. I also add a bit of inawera chocolate to accent the Trimethyl Pyrazine's chocolate mossy note which also highly accents the nuttyness. That really helps build a thicker body to the vape.

Are you talking about the 'patriot range' state express TW used to carry? I searched high and low
when they discontinued it. They swore they were going to bring it back but never did. Their
red and gold line statex is nothing like the patriot range.

Besides danny's prime clone, I've been using Ineweras 555 gold, but only from VapersTek, for
some reason theirs is quite different from other dealers.

Best of luck and let me know if you find something close to the original.

No this is my own concoction I've played with over the years. I would like to see the one you posted though...link?

This is mine...

No this was red label stuff that I used. I asked about it on their forum here and they said they cant get it anymore. I tried the other lines they had as well but didnt like them...now they only have the one Statex.

Thanks

Exactly. Even the different brands add their little nuances. Like for instance the Lorann PB hs a deeper flavor than the TFA PB, which has a lighter and sweeter flavor. If I use too much TFA PB it will get a perfume taste. Thats why I use so many different flavors...each has its pro's aand con's. I am also one of those that cant do cheesecake or milk flavors as it taste and smells like old sweatsocks to me...others love it.

perfume taste rings with me to ! that's the reason I use only about halv the recommended amount ...well in most of the highly concentrated ones .
all I am vaping is tobacco flavors . some times small amounts of flavors like apple , black cherry , Bavarian cream . raspberry , never liked the walnut .
also made some extractions with pipe tobackos heated pg. which I realy like .. but it clogs attys .
now playing with hot ethanol extractions .
are we having fun jet ?
