OK, I was just wondering, if I bought just the telescope tube, could I use it with the stealth cap? I know it wouldn't be a true GGTS, but would it function well as a telescopic mod?

yes, you can do that
and if you want to use a 18650 battery you must buy and the extension tube
but if you want an "explosion" on vaping
take a GGTS

telescope will help you to put aup to a xx500 battery negrete. if you want to put bigger batteries you need the extension too
