I made my own DIY Stealth mini.

I got a black mini off the classifieds that came with a black Loki Derlin ring. When it arrived I realized the LED was green, which is one of my favorites, but for this project I wanted the low key blue.

So I popped open my full standard black Provari and stole the blue internals from that.

I painted the button matte black to block any light from passing through it.

I grabbed a scrap of 5% tint from a local car audio shop..... for free. This is when I found out the little window is polycarbonate... not glass. This became the hardest part of the project, because the tint vinyl will not stick to the plastic window. Finally with much dexterity and patience, I managed to sandwich a little square of tint between the window and tube while I tightened down the screws.

Pressing the top cap back in was a little tricky, but a little mineral oil on the O-ring helped immensely. And there you have it. This thing will be my savior at Football games or on jobs that forbid smoking anywhere on site.

I have a black tubed/capped halfling on order from IBTanked. I'll post pics when it arrives.

Not yet..... I'm up to 5 Provs, so I can manage to have one down for a while. It's nerve-racking enough to pull it apart once. I'm gonna wait and see what my imagination comes up with that might require an opened ProVari to accomplish.

I'm alo on the hunt for a polished mini. I want to blue one end of the SS.

Nice job! That's a one of kind stealth mini. Your local gun shop could probably Cerakote the top and bottom caps for you.

I was letting the bottom cap dry when I posted the pics earlier, but I fine sanded then painted it matte black as well. Came out better than I expected. I may do this to the top cap, so the small sliver that is exposed just below the Derlin Ring doesn't stand out.

Also, it's worth mentioning that this entire upgrade was free aside from the initial used Provari purchase. I had the black paint in the garage and they just looked at me crazy when I tried to pay them for the scrap of tint I pulled out of the waste bin at the stereo shop I frequent.

Now I'm just waiting for the IBTanked blacked out halfling.

I still covet the real thing, but I wasn't aware if they'd be readily available and the wheels were already in motion when I found the black mini, with a black derlin ring included, in the classifieds. It was a V2.0, but technically now has V2.5 internals.

But when it comes to all-things-official, your Stealth beats mine hands down. Cheers. You, Ocelot, and I are now Provari Seals Special Forces.

Maybe we need a special sig that designates the honor.
