I have the Steam Machine with the Gini update and it works great! Does not hold much juice and is small but well worth it. I do not use it in VST mode because I have a GUS Aiolos which is basically the same thing and does not use both types of wires. Plus it tends to leak out of the bottom in VST mode if you let it sit for a bit. But both modes work great. Would not mind the drip mode.

Hi guys I'm a proud new owner of the no.0227 VST/Gini. I'm a orion user normally but I must say the gini is quite impressive, my Orion is sitting on the shelve since I got the Gini. I got the whole kit, (Steam Machine VST + Gini update + Sokolati Ice drip tube + 510 drip tip adapter). I use it in Gini mode so far but I would like to try the VST mode.

Is it necessary to use no res wire? As I said, I'm a Orion user and I'm quite used to genesis stuff but I never use no resistance wire and I don't know where I could get it. I understand that the no res wire are the one that goes down but since everything is in ss and ceramic, I don't see where just using normal wire would be a problem. Can I try it with only normal kanthal or no? If not, where I could find no res wire online?

Thanks guys

Here is a picture of the kit from the guy I bought it from.

Normally no o-ring is used, and the precise thread design makes the seal. You could use a very thin o-ring at the base of the threads if all else fails. Try putting a small amount of petroleum jelly on the threads and reassemble before resorting an o-ring. I'm pretty confident that will help with the seepage if that is the origin. Do keep in mind that the Gini cap has an air hole, so if you lay it on the side fluid could make its way down the outside of the device, pool up at the section gap, and resemble seepage from there. Just a thought.

thank you guys I'll take a look at those :) Another question, I noticed I have leaking between the base and the tube in Gini mode. Is it normal I don't have any o'ring there?

When you put it together in Gini mode, first screw the tank on to the base, than screw your Gini part into that. I may leak a drop or two at times, but nothing to worry about. BTW, this thing vapes like a champ for me and wicks well.. have to tip it once in a while but I leave the fill hole plugged and vape it HOT.. Love this thing, IMO puts the Cobra to shame... (when a Cobra is modded it is better but not out of the box). I am in the market for a Bliss V2 next...

Once you build a few with the resist/no-resist wire it becomes pretty easy. Just a few extra twists.

Okay, I apologize if im being a pest, Im just so excited with my Steam Machine. Ive been studying and watching many videos and reading so many posts about making wicks etc. Is using non-resistance wire necessary with the steam machine? Ive been seeing many genesis types using only kanthal and the VIVI nova even with the non-ceramic heads use only kanthal or nichrome. It just seem easier not having to connect the resistance to the non-resistance legs. Please let me know if anyone has done this with their steam machine or if it will harm anything. Thanks again.
