What a difference a Scotch Brite pad makes!

Thanks for the compliments! First I disassembled, then reassembled without the pyrex. Then I took a regular ol Scotch Brite sponge (dry). The green one. Just kind of cupped it and spun the atty back and forth on the scratchy side. Didn't even have to do it for that long or apply too much pressure. Just made sure the color was uniform and matched the mod. Didn't do a wet-sand. The sponges cost me $3. Easy peasy!

Any word if and when we'll be able to get the V2 top caps?

I bought a AGA T2 Fauxgotti top cap from Kidney Puncher. It arrived yesterday and I was very happy to find that it fits my Richman V1 perfectly. The air hole on the Fauxgotti is higher than the V1 Richman, so no more weeping. Now I have to put a brushed finish on my Richman and I'll have one beautiful atty. I guess I'll also have to order another cap for my AGA T2.:toast:

I love mine but the weeping hole gets on my nerves too. Drilling another small hole above the original helped with the tight draw, but it still weeps. I still think the original cap, although it could probably be a little shorter, looks best on it. Total industrial look. Let us check it out after you brush it though!
