I've not run it with silica yet but I've done a cotton set up and it seemed to work pretty good. With the new o-ring top cap it's even better since you can put the airhole wherever you want ;)

I will have the aga-T+'s back in stock tomorrow night most likely. They shouldn't sell out in a single night this time :p

anything will eventually leak upside down. T3's should leak less readily hopefully but the coil and wick are still exposed to the air tube that gets the vapor to your face so if that wick becomes saturated enough for gravity to pull a lil juice out of it, it'll still leak.

That and condensate in the tube/tip can be an issue in that orientation.

You know, on my first AGA-t+ set up, I had to run with the fill screw out due to wicking issues. After bouncing techniques off of VNinja, I tore down my working set up and incorporated his input to what I was already going "right".

With a full tank minus a few minutes of hard chain-vaping to test for adequate wicking with fill screw installed, I took the cap off and held my PV upside down in vertical position for 10 (ten) minutes:
Not one drop leaked.
Not one drop even formed on tip of wick, wick almost looked dry.
Now I can't guarantee that given enough time it won't leak, but initial indications are promising.
I learned that there is a good way and a better way to set up the AGA-T.

Where I am
Hey all, I thought I would elaborate a little more on the silica set-up I have inside my IGO-L. This is the set-up freshly cleaned...

...And then I wrap the silica to the opposite side of the coil...

... I do this because I always keep the air-intake hole (close to the coil) facing forward when I vape, and the excess juice is soaking the wick as I tilt to toke.

So far this is the best RBA set-up I have ever used. Easy to set-up, easy to clean, and exceptional in the performance department.

I noticed some comments in other threads, for the IGO-L, that the o-rings allow for a loose fit for the top cap, and it is effortless to take off; some have posted they're afraid the top will just fall off. Not so with the one I got from Steam Monkey. The top cap has a very snug fit, and has stayed on solidly without an issue; I have even been pocketing it on the go without any leak issues.

I'm not planning to add any new chinese items. I am however heavily considering taking some of their ideas and creating "better" versions of them, the drunker is on that list :p

How funny would it be if America started knocking off china? :p

Definitely sounds like a good plan!

Now on to the IGO-L and IGO-S... How about an IGO-LX? I can see the legs and cap extended in length to accommodate a larger amount of fluid. Most wicking materials should do well in this kind of set-up. This would definitely be for home use only, and forgive me if I'm just day-dreaming.

as you increase wicking material you increase lost efficiency. If you've got a foot of silica in there, just because you vaped what's in the coil doesn't mean every last drop is gonna make it to the coil, it doesn't know to 'go' there ;) it just sorta spreads out. Theres a fair amount of diminishing returns after you get more than can easily be stuffed into an Igo-L.

I do have 1 design I'm working on that will be a complete departure from current RBA designs but I don't have the time to prototype it right now with all the other projects i've got going, maybe in late feb/early march.

I was really just looking at it as a cross between a Vivi Nova and an RBA (portability aside), but I'll leave it to the pros. I am definitely looking forward to seeing what you are planning to release that will shake up the future of vaping! :)

Sooo... Since I'm a Vivi Nova guy, and you're up for suggestions on what to carry... I've been hearing good things about the Drunker Tank. Thoughts?

the drunker is just like a vivi nova in rebuild.

Cons:
-non replaceable head so you have to rebuild it
-bigger
-non replacable poly carb tank
-large chamber above the coil so the vape can cool down
-condensation

Pros:
-bigger
-looks like a genny and not a vivi nova
-large chamber above the coil so the vape can cool down

Edit: The drunker looks sexy on the CCTS with the extension and a kick and a big ... stainless ming tip. Pics coming soon(tm)

I hear you, my girl vapes in bed at the end of the night, and the vision clearos did fine through about 2 head changes, eventually though the plastic tank press fit at the bottom would loosen, allowing the silicone seal at the mouth piece to sit off center. This meant tilting upwards and drawing, would just suck juice straight out of the tank around the leaking seal. The Kangers are sealed on the top side, so at least if they leak down the tube a bit, it wont be like the vision's where, failure can mean a full mouth full of juice. Or at least that is my hope after seeing one up close.
