FYI: Met with a machinist yesterday.

I'm getting him rolling on the first monkey product coming out, I decided to start simple and make a dripper rba so I can eliminate the IGO-L from my product listing first.

I'm also in talks with some one to work on my DNA20 mod again, we'll see how it pans out :)

Any plans for sizing that dripper so it looks purdy on a mod? Maybe the ccts?

if I designed my first device around a mod, it sure as hell wouldn't be a chinese mech ;)

I like the CCTS and carry it for a variety of reasons... good build quality for the price, the price, I wanted a mechanical mod and it met my requirements without costing more than I was willing to charge some one for a chinese mech mod....

besides, why size it for a mod when I could build a hybrid head unit to fit on the mods and replace the existing head unit for that flush, beautiful finish that people love... not that I'm doing that or anything...

Nice. I know you probably have your spec's nailed down, but the change I would make to better the IGO-L (IMO) is different post heights.

Good point. Either way, I look forward to seeing what you come up with

Coming in the next few months:
The introduction of the Monkeyed Line: I'll be doing some semi artistic etching on various SS devices like the Aga-T+, Igo-L, Igo-S and A7 RBAs, these will be limited run, hand etched devices marked up in price to account for the labor involved in customizing them.

Introduction of my own RBA line: I've got machinists working on a variety of RBA styles which will be slowly replacing the Chinese versions on my store. I'm hoping to have the first model in testers hands by the end of March and hopefully production runs by the end of April (assuming the first design is solid and doesn't need a serious re-work).

More exciting goodies: I'm finally settling into my new place and getting a lot of the back end store stuff nailed down to be more effecient so I can work on my designs. I've got 13 projects at different stages of design that will be coming out this year. Subscribe to this thread for updates.

Store changes:
I've enabled "notify me" on my product pages. If something is out of stock you can now go to the product page and request an automated email notification when that item goes back "in stock". Hope this helps some of you guys campin a few of my more popular items :)

Stay tuned!

Great news Lance. I am glad to hear that your business venture is steadily taking off. You are an awesome vendor with a love for your craft and product, and a genuine concern for your peeps. That alone will take you far.

Aww, yer gonna make the monkey blush.

Howdy my favorite little monkeys,
It's restock time, as always I've been getting a lot of messages asking about when this stuff would be back... it finally is. Also, there are a few changes I'd like to talk about first.
First, I've changed up the goody bag that comes with my RBAs, it'll still include the same stuff but I'm packaging it slightly different to ensure the integrity of the materials when you get em. Here's a brief video unboxing. Steam Monkey RBA Can - YouTube[1]
I've also enabled the ability to get a restock notification on individual products in the store so I won't have to answer quite so many emails about it ;) (also hopefully I won't be going out of stock so damn fast!). Go to the product page for what you're lookin for, theres a link to subscribe for product stock updates, you should only get an email when THAT item comes back in stock, not a generic stock update everytime I fart out another random drip tip or carto.
Also... I'm launching Canadian shipping next week. I'll be working all weekend to get the last little bits of the logistics worked out, but come Monday night I will be shipping all my products to Canada as well. So, please... if you would all join me in welcoming our frosty northern brethern into the Monkey troop....
Now... What's going back in stock tonight...
Aga-T+ (poly tank)
IGO-L
Introducing the IGO-S, a mini version of the Igo-L. this is a nice little RBA, basically a shrunken Igo-L, not a lot more to say about that. The product page on my store will have pictures of it on an Ego so you can get an idea of size. (the product page isn't listed yet).
The AGR Carto Tank V2. Sorry, still no spare parts but the tank is going back in stock.
The AGS Carto Punch.
Ego Collar and Flare style ego cones.
Various Long Aluminum Drip tips that had gone out of stock.
Various Stainless Steel Drip tips that had gone out of stock.
Adding a Long stainless steel drip tip, same style as my long aluminum but in stainless.
Adding super stubby Aluminum drip tips. These are 12mm long total, they're freakin LITTLE. I've got em in Black, Gunmetal Gray, and Silver.
All restocks should be complete by 7pm CST. I've still got a little work to do on the site to get the new items up and in stock but I should be done by 7pm :)

Coming soon:
Vivi nova restock (normal and mini). This includes replacement coils.
T3 and T3 coil restock.
Battery restock, including a special surprise... I'm getting one of the last batches of Panasonic CGR18650CH's my supplier has access to. I'll also be getting in more 18350 and 18500s.
Ego Twist restock: this will include the 'new' starter kit which comes with an 1100mAh steal finished Ego Twist, a 306 bridgeless dripping atomizer + tip, a Kanger T3 and a 510-USB charger. Price is still in the works, I haven't had time to run the numbers but it won't be much different from the existing, if I can drop it down I will.
Coming As soon as I can: I will be stocking the following products in the not too distant future (maybe a month or two).
Kanger Pro Tank
Innokin iClear 30
XC-116 Ceramic Wick
the first Steam Monkey product, an all stainless dripper RBA built right here in the USA.

Thanks!

-Lance

thanks for the cross posting ;)

I'm debating the kanthal ribbon. To be honest, I don't like messing with the stuff but people seem to love it. I've got some for testing, I just haven't had time to actually test. I'll get on that soon and if I like it and think it's got added value over regular kanthal I'll pick it up.

I think the big thing with the ribbon is the novelty. It seems fantastically different at first, but after a week or two it seems like it's really not any functionally different than regular kanthal wire. The two rather obvious differences are that the wider shape dictates you cannot wrap as many coils in the same space so anyone who doesn't want to go LR can't use most of the ribbons, and some people find it easier to wrap.

It is definitely worth playing with, though--and I don't think you'd have trouble selling it...

I'm not much for chasing trends unless they provide value. I never even looked at stocking little quartz tubes for the hotness that was insulating your wick with a pyrex/quartz tube for a reason. I tried it, it wasn't better than cotton wrapping in any way, shape, or form. Infact, it was more of a sidegrade, just a different hassle for removing hotspots than oxidizing or going cotton candy style. I probably could have stocked up on little cut pieces of quartz and made a killing but that would be a disservice to my customers. Despite being in "business" i started the store to get people to vape, not to get people to pay me.

All I was saying was that it doesn't seem to offer any drastic improvement over the wire, but the people that find it easier to coil with tend to stick with it rather than going back to wire. I wasn't saying "if you stock it you'll make money," I was saying "there are people who will buy it no matter where they have to go." It's kind of like having three different gauges of wire in stock instead of just offering 28ga and telling customers to wrap more coils if you want a higher resistance :)

Did not mean to make you upset, so I'll just go back to lurking and stalking the site :)
