I'll be cutting up mesh today and updating my product offering. I'm going to be dropping to a 6x12 cut sheet, two per order, shipped loosely rolled in a 1.5inch diameter plastic tube for protection. I'll also be putting a 'sampler' kit together which I'll be including in all my RBAs as well as selling separately which has a piece of each mesh type and each wire type that I carry.

That's awesome! Selling the sample pack separate will help a lot of folks avoid the trial and error costs some of us have incurred. That's really looking out for the customer.

Been using gennies for 6 months and just found my optimal wire gauge and mesh type last month.

That is the goal! Everything I do at steam monkey I do with the idea of "Would I like this?" or I think about what frustrates me and try to figure out ways to remove that factor. I want it to be 'easy' for a vaper and reduce the frustration as much as possible.

Just had to say this...

Lance, it's REALLY cool how you try to keep in touch with and update your customer base with news and info daily!

Hopefully sales never bog you down to a point where you are unable to do that, as it's a really nice and unique way to interact with customers and potential customers. I really like it, keep up the awesome style!:thumbs:

Any clue on when the novas will arrive? I'm debating whether I should make an order or wait for them.

Tracking says tomorrow before the end of the day. That's assuming it doesn't catch a delay somewhere. With the holidays it's a bit of a crap shoot.

This thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...zer-systems/309261-wick-coil-tips-tricks.html has some really helpful techniques on the first page.

Genesis atties have a learning curve so don't be discouraged, once you get the hang of it, its smooth sailing... most of the time.

Yeah not giving up yet, ordered a 12"x12" of #500, and found 100' of Nichrome 60 34 awg for $6, so plenty of wire to burn coils but I read Nichrome is a lot easier to work with and can wrap tighter coils with them close together which is the way I'd like to set it up anyway so shouldn't have problems. I'm going to make this work, even ordered a glass replacement tank for it from ibtanked, like the thing isn't heavy enough, really should make an aluminum version.

I do have one question though, is it better to use less screen and a bigger hole in the center or more screen with a tiny hole in the center?

Wick density is a hot topic. On the aga-t I use a 30mm wide wick rolled to the diameter of the wick hole, with a good sized hole in the middle. It heats up quick, but you have to tip it if chain vaping. I also leave the fill screw in and don't get a lot of leaking.

Might not be a bad idea to pick up some 32,30,28ga wire from lance (best prices I've seen) if you have troubles with the 34ga (thin wire=higher resistance =increased opportunity for shorts = popped coils). I was changing 32ga coils every 1-2 weeks, but have been running a 28ga coil for about a month and it still has a lot of life in it.

Good luck!

No problem! Granted I've not ventured into every vendors threads for extended periods, but in my short time here and in the few vendors threads I have read a little into, it does seem like you are here posting and helping/updating your customers a lot more often that others do. That's my kinda guy, and I could tell you were juggling things just by some of your comments, so just wanted to let you know someone does notice and approve! I'm sure you already knew that, but still I felt it should be said aloud a few times too! :)

Keep up the great work! I like how you price things, and how you package things with extras too! Was going to grab a AGA-T from you, but but the time I was ready your hand crafted kits were already OOS :( I'll be grabbing some things from you soon though, probably around the end of the year.

Keep on rockin!! On that note, what kind of music? Have any vids or mp3 so we could listen?

Lance I'm wondering if at some point you will be carrying 3mm fuse quartz tubing for the scubaqu. I have been pricing the tubing, and most sites have a 50.00 min order. Also the tubing is expensive, when all a person needs is a small piece. I think you may be able to sell quite a few of these. Once the idea catches on.

Lance, just placed order 160, and if you happen to get vivis in later today before you ship, and you are willing to hold my order and let me know, I'll happily add some in.

The vivi stuff is 'Out for delivery' today. They're coming UPS so that can be anytime between now and 8pm. If I don't have em by the time I make my PO run do you want me to hold it?

After some testing... no. The issue is complex but I'm working on something pretty exciting for RBA's in my shop. I should have some info on that early next year. The fused quartz/pyrex thing is... good, it's interesting, but RBA's are already complicated and adding the tube makes it even more fiddly. I'm lookin at the scubaqu thing as a concept instead of a solution and working on a solution.
