Steam Punk SP2 Review Day One with Pics

Brief History: I own a 808, 510 and eGo/Tornado. I have been vaping a bit over a month, so still a bit of a noob. This is my first battery mod. In the near future I will be purchasing a BB and a Chuck.

I decided to go with the Steam Punk SP2 from Ecigsupply "for all your e-cig needs". I ordered on Tuesday and received it today (Friday). Ultra fast shipping from ecigsupply. I also ordered a pink atty for the SP2.

As far as build: its made out of aluminum so its ultra light. In my opinion, the quality is great. the button is on the end with the sp2 logo engraved. The tube looks clean. Ive heard that some people cant screw their atty all the way down, but mine did just fine. The whole device comes apart, which is great for cleaning it. I like that the button is on the tip because it wont go off in your pocket. The device is small and fits in the palm of my hand (atty sticking out of course)

It is definitely a learning curve compared to the regular 510. Its crazy vapor and TH. I cant imagine a 6v!

I cant comment yet on the battery life because Ive only been vaping for 30 minutes on it. The taste is way more obvious then with the 510 or 808.

I will soon be ordering adapter so I can see if cartos or a 510 atty make much of a difference.

However, for now, my 510 and 808 are going into a drawer. For someone who is looking for their first (or 100th) mod, the SP2 is pretty legit for the price. Now that I know I like mods I have no problem investing more money in them.

And for the pictures:

Nice review.

I just got my SP2 yesterday from ecigsupply as well, super fast shipping. You are right it is an awesome little mod, I love the size and the vapor, well let me tell you that it is totally worth getting the 510 adapter, on a joye 510 atty the SP2 is a monster.

the resistance on the 801 atty is about 3.4 ohms and the joyes run about 2.3 ohms, so much more power delivered, I have not tried a dse-510 atty yet but would expect it to deliver like the 801 as the resistance is the same.

I have one and don't like it. The atty doesn't seat all the way if the battery body is closed up properly. IF the atty is seated, the battery body will not close up all the way. I dont like the fact that the part were the atty screws on is also aluminum, it is wearing badly and doesn't seem like it will last. As far as the atty, its basically an 801. If kept wet it does make good vapor though. I do like the switch on it and the fact that it will stand up on end. My main vape is a SD and I went back to it pretty quick.

Devo, I see you traded yours off, I am curious as to why?
