I have used the hot water steeping before. I get a container and sit the juice into it, and fill it with water to where the water just comes up to the neck of the bottle, then take the bottle out, microwave the water until it comes to a boil, then sit the bottle into it, and leave it there until the water/juice comes to room temperature. Take the juice out, and let it sit overnight with the lid/dropper off the bottle. I don't know where I heard it, but someone told me that this is equal to about a week of steeping on the shelf. Since I've been vaping for a while, I know about how much I'm going to vape every month, so now I try and keep a months worth on the shelf. I do take the cap/dripper off on everything as soon as it comes in the mail, and shake it real good and let it sit uncovered for 1 or 2 days, walking by and shaking it 2 or 3 times while the lid is off. It seems to me that all juices taste better with steeping. Some taste completely different after they have steeped for a month, than they did the first day they came in the mail. The best vendor for having good juice straight out of the mail, in my experience, is Ahlusion. They are magicians, and if you ask for a specific sample with your order....they will throw a free 10ml sample in with your order. But, even Ahlusions juice actually improves after a couple of weeks on the shelf. My favorite, got to have it, use at least 3-4ml per day is Virgin Vapors Organic ECO Kona Velvet Milkshake. I've never found another juice that comes close to this. Right out of the mail, it is disgusting. About 10 days out its vapeable, at 4 weeks its amazing. I don't know what I will do if Annette quits making it, because I have never found another to take its place.

Completely agreed! I've got over 30 different flavors or so sitting in my vape-drawer. When new batches come in, I'm usually frothing at the mouth to try them. Usually get disappointed and go straight back to my old faithful 'Dulce de Leche'

For me, when my 'Dulce' comes in freshly mixed, it's typically a light yellow tone. When it's fresh, it's got a really perfumey aroma that doesn't come anywhere close to what I like. I'm still pretty amazed at what steeping can do!

If it's a juice that I'm familiar with, I usually know how to get it right now! Props to hulamoon!

If you don't have any steeped juice lying around, I'd definitely go with hulamoon's hot water method. It'll taste roughly the same as a time-steeped juice, but after comparing the 2 methods, I'd still have to say that time-steeping imparts a more full-bodied and mature flavor for me.. (damn I sound like a wine connoisseur!)

So here's what I do with my juices.
I order up a month's worth of juices and when they come in, I get one bottle in each hand and shake vigorously for a minute.
I usually do this in the office while reading work-stuff.
(my colleagues have gotten used to it by now, they ask me if I'm practicing for the night.........)
After I'm done with the whole shaking thing, I open the caps for each bottle and keep em all in a nice cool and dark area (my drawer)
I'll check on them every 2 days or so and give them a vape to try it. If it's not where I like it yet, I give them another good shaking and leave them uncapped for another 2 days.

Depending on the juice, 4 days is almost always good enough.

In a pinch though, if I'm outta time-steeped juices, I use the hot water method to get the perfumey taste out.

Hope this helps!

I've been very fortunate in that I work with Steelrat and so far all of the juices I've tried have been his creations. He has generally provided me with juices that could either be vaped immediately or warned me to let others steep. I've just ordered several from Ms T's and although I'll try them out as soon as they come, I'll probably leave them on the shelf for about a week before vaping in quantity. Even the juices that Steelrat told me I could vape right away have developed more complex and rich flavors the longer I let them sit.
