Steeping , cap on or cap off ?

When steeping in a warm water bath do you have cap on or cap of ? Why do you do what you do ?

If the flavoring has alcohol in it, I'll leave the cap off in a warm water bath. That way the alc evaporates some and it doesn't have that "in your face" TH. Otherwise, cap on. Its not like cap off would hurt the non-alc based liquids, but if it tips for some reason, I don't want it to have water leaking in.

Steeping, or Frumping, is always with cap on. (Because it is to allow entropy to happen.)

Breathing or Airing is with cap off. (To evap or oxidize.)

Why? Because they do two different things.

If you leave the cap off then the PG/VG will absorb moisture from the air.
I leave it on so the bottle doesn't tip over and so the mix doesn't absorb moisture from the air.

Cap on and leave it on the shelf for 1-2 weeks.

Why rush? E-juice is like a fine wine....
