I have a dilemma. I'm looking to steep two different bottles with very different flavors and smells right next to each other in a dark closet. I'm removing caps and the nipples from the bottles for 24 hrs. My concern is if they are near each other with both tops off, would they start to absorb each other's scents and would the tastes be affected? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

How long do you recommend for hot/very warm water baths?

I nuke some water in a tupperware until just boiling, then put GLASS bottles in, and leave them until the water cools. One time for 5-15ml bottles, twice for 30-60ml bottles. if your bottles are plastic, put them in a ziploc first.

I used to use the water method, soak in very warm water for about 10 minutes or so and let open overnight while you are asleep. It definitely speeds the process up in my eyes. The next day when I wake up it tastes like it has been steep for a week already.

I don't really do that anymore, just when I am in a desperate rush to get a liquid ready to vape. I generally just open the bottle and close it again and let it sit in a very dark area for weeks. My longest steep was easily a 10 month steep, I completely forgot about the liquid and it really didn't taste any different than it did when I let it steep for 2 weeks.
