I've set it once, and I'll say it again. Don't mess with father time.

Let the juices sit overnight and try them again in the morning. I've had this happen before.

I tried them this morning, they all have a flavour now but I'm not sure what it is. It's very... "off." A lot of them just taste really sweet for some reason. I'm gonna give it more time to sit.

Unfortunately, too much heat can degrade juice. If it doesn't taste good after a week, try mixing them with some flavors.

here's my routine for juices:

get the juice, test it. if it tastes good, vape away!

if not, write the date on it and throw it in a cabinet.

wait a week, test it again. still not good? put it back.

try it again after another week....so on and so forth...if it gets to be a year old and I don't like it, I give it to someone else.

I use the warm water method. I got two bottles of the same and one I did the crock pot for 3 hours and one week of dark storage and the other was two total weeks of dark storage and they were pretty similar. Since the crock pot one was done 6 days & 21 hours faster, I couldn't vape them side by side, but I took notes. They were an internet purchase, too. I assume they were filled at the same time with the same batch.

So,..this answered my question..It's not DIY..Idk what juices you are steeping..but yeah,..either the heat got to them,.( I would still expect SOME flavor though), or you have a case of vapers tongue.

Personally I only buy pre steeped..Just go to the mail box and rip those puppies open..hehe

These hot baths for steeping never made much sense to me anyway.

@Jimi D. Sup my brotha?!?

I use them to help get rid of the excess alcohol. Really helps with high VG. Never ruined any bottles though and there has been plenty of UC and non-UC hot tubbing going on at my house.

It is faster, but I don't push it. I stay with a pretty specific routine since different flavors and/or compositions are involved. I have done it with a lot of different juices now and not had a problem with the end result.

Speaking of alcohol, I take the lids off and shake for 24 hours first and that is for a 30ml bottle. I just got some 3ml samplers and I will take the lids off for, i am thinking, 2 hours...?? It is the first time for that size bottle.

We will see.

My preferred method is tops off as well for 24hr..Then a shake and steep but only for HHV..Those are the only ones I get with alcohol .

150-160 F is where Nic starts to degrade so you surely don't want it that hot.

If my understanding is correct, the Main reason for heating the juice is to thin it out temporarily so that it can/will mix better
when shaken. It takes Far less than 150 F for that to happen.

I keep my newly arrived juice sealed up in a Thermos mug for several hours with WARM but not hot water. I'd guess around 120-130 F.

That works for me. Also, uncap for 24/48 hrs if there is Any Alchohol smell when first sniffed.

I steeped all of my liquids (warm water method), and I'm trying my 100ml favourite juice right now. It tastes like flavourless e juice! What happened, I am so disappointed. Gonna check some of my other juices, I'm worried that I ruined all of them.

Juice 2, no flavour either...
Just curious, what was your steeping method? how hot? How long? Etc. I was getting ready to try warm steeping with my next order.

That could be what happened, I steeped them in hot tap water. May have been too hot. I am getting some flavour now, so there's hope, but I'm not sure if they'll ever taste the same again. Going to keep an eye on them and keep testing.
